After Fords most recent recall for a PCM software update at the dealer the car immediately runs different and after full engine temperatures sounds like marbles or valve train issues including low rpm noise and transmission shutter between shifts. Dealer says there is no problem they can find and that I need new turbos. Very suspicious that after a PCM flash the car is now unable to drive. The car

The rear window shattered while driving. I had turned on my rear window defroster to help clear the window of fog. Several minutes later there was a loud pop, and I saw a hole in the lower left corner of the window under the spoiler, and the rest of the glass was cracked. I pulled over to see if something had hit the window, and there was no evidence of that happening.

Executive Summary This petition requests an immediate, systemic safety defect investigation into the software architecture, operating system stability, power management, and network subsystems of the Fisker Ocean vehicle fleet (Model Years 2023–2024). Following the liquidation bankruptcy of Fisker Inc. and its affiliates—under Case No.XXX (XXX) in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware, overseen by Judge [XXX] —the vehicle's intellectual property, cloud infrastructure, and over-the-air (OTA) software management assets were assumed by a commercial entity, American Lease, and its vehicle management arm (OV Loop/Ocean Loop). Due to the subsequent imposition of a predatory $499/year subscription paywall, thousands of retail owners have been cut off from cloud connectivity. While a missing cloud connection in a standard passenger car traditionally results in a benign loss of convenience features, in the Fisker Ocean's "software-defined" architecture, it triggers a severe, un-throttled software failure loop. This architectural defect forces safety-critical operating systems into permanent boot loops, pins CPU utilization, drops the system clock into a broken chronological state, and drives an aggressive parasitic drain on the 12V battery system. This directly leads to cascade control module failures, key fob inoperability, and accelerated mechanical degradation of high-voltage components, introducing an acute INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACRead more

I am reporting a serious safety concern with my 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe, VIN [XXX] . The apparent systems involved are the hybrid propulsion system, charging/high-voltage battery system, powertrain control system, and/or regenerative braking/deceleration system. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. After prior battery/charging-related issues and recent Jeep recall service, the vehi
... cle displayed a “Service Charging System” warning and the check-engine light came on. While driving home, the vehicle did not decelerate normally when I removed my foot from the accelerator. It felt like the Jeep continued propelling itself or maintaining speed without accelerator input. I drove approximately one mile down my street at about 40 mph, and the vehicle did not slow down as expected unless I applied the brakes firmly. I had to brake harder than normal to slow the vehicle. This created a serious safety risk because the vehicle appeared to continue moving at speed without normal deceleration, which could have caused a crash or prevented me from stopping in time. After the incident, the vehicle also turn off. It took multiple tries and about 20 minutes to turn off. The “Service Charging System” message and check-engine light remained on. The problem has not yet been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center, but I am arranging for the vehicle to be towed/inspected and do not intend to drive it due to the safety concern. The vehicle was recently inspected/serviced by a Jeep dealer for recall-related work before this incident. I am requesting that the dealer/manufacturer inspect the vehicle and preserve all DTCs, freeze-frame data, module update records, HV battery/charging diagnostics, and any available accelerator/brake/propulsion data. No crash or injury occurred, but the vehicle created a serious safety risk. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)Read more

On 5/14/2026, while driving southbound on I-95 with my pregnant wife and young daughter, my 2025 Hyundai Tucson (approx. 7,500 miles, purchased new 10/2025) experienced multiple critical safety failures. Two days prior, the heads-up display (HUD) intermittently failed to activate. On 5/14, traveling at 65-70 mph near [XXX] , the brakes auto-applied without driver input. Simultaneously, the instru
... ment cluster and HUD went completely black, eliminating all speed and vehicle status information. This recurred intermittently. Near [XXX] , the brakes auto-applied with full force, locking all four tires and bringing the vehicle from approx. 70 mph to a complete stop on the active interstate. Two trailing vehicles spun out and left the travel lane to avoid rear-ending us. A multi-car pileup was narrowly avoided. The vehicle was taken to Pearson Hyundai in Midlothian, VA. They diagnosed and replaced a faulty wiring harness. Immediately after the repair, driving northbound on I-95 back to [XXX] (5/16), the lane keep assist/lane departure system began pulling the steering wheel into the adjacent lane without driver input, repeatedly and unpredictably at highway speed. The dealer repair did not resolve the all defects. Within a three days this vehicle exhibited: (1) total instrument cluster/HUD failure, (2) uncommanded emergency braking at 70 mph causing two other vehicles to take evasive action (3) uncommanded steering input into an adjacent lane. These failures created immediate risk of serious injury or death. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)Read more

Ford's own dealer notice for Recall 19V435/19S17 states: "Federal law requires dealers to complete this recall service before a new vehicle is INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)Read more

This can be a distraction safety hazard. My other issue is the lane keep assist. It doesn’t detect lanes very well, especially if it’s faded or has sealed cracks. I could be driving the freeway speed limit and then the car suddenly brakes hard. I’m lucky no one was directly behind me when these incidents have happened or else I would’ve been rear-ended. Safety hazard for both complaints.Read more

Potential safety defect: high-voltage battery and battery management system (BMS) appear to overestimate available energy and remaining range, creating risk of unexpected 0% state of charge or loss of motive power without warning. Across 20 documented charge/discharge cycles between January and May 2026, the vehicle has consistently delivered approximately 135-150 miles of real-world range agains
... t an EPA-rated 310 miles, under routine driving conditions. The vehicle's own energy display shows observed usable energy averaging approximately 49.93 kWh -- approximately 66.6% of the rated 75 kWh pack. Tesla/BMS diagnostics report approximately 79-80% pack retention, implying approximately 58-59 kWh available -- approximately 8-9 kWh more than the vehicle's own consumption display reflects. No BMS fault code, low-power alert, or driver warning has been generated despite this persistent discrepancy. On April 22, 2026, after a drive, the vehicle was parked showing approximately 3% SOC and 7 miles remaining. Approximately five hours later, while parked and not being driven, the vehicle displayed 0% SOC and 0 miles. No fault or warning was triggered. Supporting photographs document the same low-SOC discharge cycle: vehicle at 27%/65 miles on April 20 and at 0%/0 miles on April 22. A driver relying on 3%/7 miles as a margin to reach a charging location could become unexpectedly stranded. If a similar BMS recalculation occurred while driving at low SOC, the result could be sudden unexpected loss of motive power -- a potential roadway safety hazard before the driver receives adequate warning. On May 14, 2026, Tesla Service performed a battery health review (Invoice 3000S0016915237) documenting 79% pack retention, no faults found, no further action. Test name, methodology, and whether the review evaluated BMS calibration accuracy or low-SOC energy availability were not disclosed.Read more

The vehicle displays an “Engine Maintenance Required” warning message shortly after the air conditioning is turned on. The warning does not usually appear immediately at startup but consistently appears when the A/C system is activated. The vehicle currently remains drivable, but the issue appears related to the engine cooling system and may involve the coolant bypass valve/flow control valve,
... which has been widely reported by other owners of similar model vehicles. The problem raises safety concerns because a cooling system malfunction could potentially lead to overheating while driving. The issue has been reproduced multiple times. A generic code scan at an auto parts store did not show stored engine codes. The vehicle was taken to a Toyota dealership and Toyota customer service was contacted regarding known coverage programs related to this issue, but the VIN was reportedly not included. Warning symptoms first appeared during normal driving and continue intermittently whenever the air conditioning system is used.Read more

While driving my vehicle the engine seized one day, i brought to the kia service center where they took at apart and the dealership claimed Kia should replace the engine under warranty as well as known issues with these vehicles. Corporate Kia denied the claim sent in by the dealer. And sent me a bill for the cost to replace the entire engine.

I am writing to file a complaint regarding the air conditioning system failure in my 2020 Honda Civic Sport. The air conditioner in my vehicle began blowing hot air instead of cold air. I took the vehicle to Honda for inspection and paid $545.15 to have the system recharged and dye inserted in order to diagnose the issue. After this service was completed, I was informed that the evaporator has fa
... iled and needs to be replaced. I was then quoted $2,475.13 for the repair. While researching this issue, I discovered that many other Honda Civic owners have reported similar air conditioning problems involving the evaporator and AC system. I also became aware of a 2021 letter involving American Honda Motor Co. and Honda dealership personnel regarding evaporator leaks in vehicles with VIN numbers beginning with 2HG or 19X. The letter stated that Honda was researching these vehicles in an effort to better understand the issue. Given the number of similar complaints and Honda’s apparent awareness and investigation into evaporator leaks, this appears to be a potentially widespread defect affecting these vehicles, even when properly maintained. The failure of the air conditioning system has caused significant inconvenience and financial burden. I believe this issue should be investigated further, as it may indicate a defect in the vehicle’s air conditioning system. I respectfully request that the NHTSA review this matter and investigate whether the evaporator failure in the 2020 Honda Civic Sport is a recurring manufacturing defect that may warrant further action or assistance for affected vehicle owners. Thank you for your time and attention to this matter.Read more

Check engine light came on and the dealership said it was because the coolant was low due to the radiator hose leaking. I was told by the actual mechanic that they’ve had to do a lot of radiator hoses and that it is a known defect with the Colorados and the traverses but that GM hasn’t done a recall on them yet. That is what brings me here. My truck is only 2 years old and this shouldn’t be

My 2021 Ford Edge has experienced ongoing transmission issues for an extended period including delayed engagement into Reverse, flashing gear indicator lights before Reverse engagement, harsh/jumpy shifting during acceleration and deceleration, and intermittent shuddering. The vehicle previously required a torque converter replacement performed by a Ford dealership, however the symptoms continued
... after the repair. Today, while driving on the highway, the vehicle experienced repeated loss of power and hesitation while attempting to accelerate and maintain speed. During one highway merge, the vehicle failed to respond normally while accelerating and I was nearly struck by a semi-truck because I could not safely match traffic speed. Shortly afterward, while exiting the highway, the vehicle suddenly jolted violently and began making loud grinding noises accompanied by severe shuddering. The transmission/drivetrain appeared to fail completely, making the vehicle unsafe to continue operating. I stopped driving immediately and had the vehicle towed to the same Ford dealership that previously replaced the torque converter. I am submitting this complaint because the transmission failure created a serious safety hazard involving loss of propulsion at highway speeds, unsafe merging conditions, and risk of collision.Read more

Purchased in August 2024, had to get a new battery 2 days after purchase & then went to the dealership January 2025 because my battery kept dying & I was stranded at the airport late night. They acknowledged is has a parasitic draw but did not notate the source. They claimed I needed a new battery when my previous Subaru branded battery was only 5 months old. The new battery was almost $600 which

I pulled the dcm fuse and let my car sit for several days as a test. The battery did not die with the dcm fuse removed. The front speakers and Bluetooth are linked to the dcm fuse so they do not work if it is unplugged.Read more
