On 5/18, I was reversing into a parking spot and my steering rack completely locked to the right, with no warning and while in motion, causing me to strike a parked vehicle. The car had to be towed and dealership mechanic said steering rack had an internal mechanical failure and needs replacement. After doing some research, I found forums of numerous people who have had this same issue. This is
... a known issue by Jaguar for this particular make model and year and they refuse to issue a recall. I had driven on the highway earlier that day and this could have caused a deadly accident had it happened at that time. This is a real safety hazzard for owners and others on the road.Read more

Incident date: May 19, 2026
The vehicle has experienced premature factory paint and clear coat delamination across the main roof panel structure. This is not cosmetic weathering; it is a latent factory application defect where the clear coat chemically failed to bond to the substrate. The resulting delamination has left raw structural metal exposed, leading to rapid substrate oxidation and structural degradation of the roof
... panel sheet metal. The advanced delamination and corrosion have directly compromised the sealing integrity of the roof-mounted GPS/emergency communication antenna and the structural integrity of the roof rack mounting tracks. Water intrusion through the compromised factory finish risks shorting out emergency telematics, causing electrical fires in the headliner, or causing a structural failure of aftermarket cargo crossbars at highway speeds, creating a severe road hazard for vehicles traveling behind me. This is a known, widespread manufacturing flaw originating from the Arlington Assembly Plant affecting 2015-2020 GM full-sized platforms, requiring a total structural strip and repaint to resolve. General Motors has issued no recall or remedy for this latent safety and structural defect.Read more

*The mechanic diagnosed internal engine failure (May 14, 2026). The vehicle is at the second mechanic's shop. *The car stalled twice. The first time, over 20 miles, the air conditioning stopped, followed by the radio, and then acceleration. I pulled over and the acceleration returned but only for a minute. The second time, a clacking noise got louder and faster, and three miles later the engine s
... topped. I coasted and pulled over but had to shift to neutral and use the parking brake to stop. *The first time was a two-lane road (55 MPH). As I lost acceleration, cars slowed behind me. It took so long to turn off on a side road, the car behind me almost hit me as they speeded up to pass. The second time was a busy two-lane road (45 MPH), but the engine stopped so quickly, the person behind me almost rear ended me. Without the steering, the car crossed the middle lane, and I had to haul the steering wheel so I could pull off to a side street. *The first repair shop said the oil was low and suggested the place that changed the oil did not know what it was doing and perhaps didn't put the cap on right. The oil was dripping over the engine and to the bottom of the housing. After driving it, the mechanic said the Hyundai service center should do a diagnostic, but it was safe to drive. The second repair shop did an oil change to see what was happening with the oil flow. He found metal filings as well as other problems and said it this was an internal engine failure. *The Hyundai service center said the vehicle needed to be towed, at my own expense, to the its center for a $185.00 out-of-pocket diagnostic. *In October 2025, the Hyundai dealership serviced the car for a cylinder head oil leak recall/problem. *There were no warning lights either time--no engine or oil lights came on. There were no symptoms or indications of a problem before the first incident (May 7, 2026).Read more

I had been driving my truck for multiple days, after a knocking sound suddenly started from under the hood. It was evident at any speed that wasn't idle. There were no check engine lights displayed on the dash. The sound was annoying enough that I took it in. According to the dealer technician, the transmission pump "completely detached" and was "rolling around inside the transmission." They found
... metal fragments in the transmission fluid, and they declared the transmission a total loss. I have no idea how my truck was still driving, but if the transmission really had failed so catastrophically, I was driving a ticking time bomb. During the visit, I agreed to replace the cabin/carbon air filter as recommended. Approximately three weeks later, while driving, I turned on the air conditioning and immediately noticed a strong burning smell coming from the vents. Concerned about a possible electrical or overheating issue, I turned the air off immediately. I contacted BMW service and the earliest available appointment was scheduled for May 20, 2026. During the scheduling call, the BMW service representative informed me that my vehicle also had an active recall that would be addressed during my appointment. When I asked for details, I was told it involved a “software update issue.” On May 18, 2026, I attempted to use the air conditioning again. This time, the burning smell became significantly worse and was combined with a musty odor. Shortly afterward, the ventilation system stopped blowing air entirely. When I arrived at BMW service, I explained the symptoms to my advisor. He responded that the issue “sounded familiar” and stepped away to speak with someone else. When he returned, he explained that another customer had recently reported a similar issue involving a recall on a BMW M5, but stated that the BMW X1 did not currently have the same recall. Given the burning odor, ventilation failure, and the similarity to another BMW recall-related complaint, I believe this issue should be investigated further as a potential hazarRead more

While driving to dinner in Bluefield< West Virginia on Saturday evening, I came to an intersection where I was making a left hand turn with a green arrow on the light. As I approached the intersection, I slowed to something under 10 miles an hour and proceeded to initiate a left hand turn. As I rolled onto the throttle, there was no response from the engine for approximately 15 seconds. The eng
... ine remained at idle as I coasted through the turn. I continued applying throttle with no response until I reached approximately 50% of throttle pedal travel, at which time the engine sputtered then accelerated rapidly. This is not the first instance of this issue. It has happened on at least 4 different occasions in the past. The issue is intermittent and could easily result in an accident if it occurs while pulling out into traffic - which is what happened the first time it happened to me with the oncoming traffic being forced to take evasive action.Read more

The molded in color hardtops are bad on these Ford Bronco’s. I wanted to report it because mine started cracking, fading, delaminating, and leaking after the vehicle was only 3 months old. In fact, the customer service representative at Ford stated more than likely this replacement hardtop would go bad at some point just like the original. My 2019 F150 3.5 ecooboost with the (10R80) transmission is unsafe to drive. The vehicle only has 66,000 miles and it is experiencing very serious transmission problems. I will lead off with the most dangerous safety issue. The 10R80 transmission will shift unexpectedly while traveling around 50 mph from 9th gear to 1st gear without actually engaging 1st gear, but simply becoming unresponsive on a
... highway at high speed. I was afraid I would be rear ended by another driver because I wasn't engaging any brake lights. A few other hazardous examples would be hard shifting such as from first gear to third gear and skipping second gear when gradually accelerating, downshifting hard when approaching a stop sign or red traffic light and shifting from sixth gear to seventh gear and simply not knowing which gear it wants to be in. The transmission is dangerously erratic. Recently the vehicle had a small (wrench) warning light illuminate. I referred to the manual and it indicates a powertrain malfunction. I brought my vehicle in for service and they did a software update. This did absolutely nothing and the transmission simply got worse. It was more erratic than ever. I scheduled another appointment for service and the dealership subsequently told me I need a new transmission. My truck has 66,000 miles on it. This is crazy. And a delicate 66,000 miles at that as I am meticulous with all maintenance intervals. The transmission is so erratic that I will not drive it. It is simply too unsafe and I do not want to cause any further damage. So in conclusion, I now have a 2019 F150 with 66,000 delicate miles on it, sitting in my driveway.Read more

At about 2:16 PM on Monday, 5/18/2026, I was driving southeast in the right lane of Amaya Drive from Fletcher Parkway in La Mesa, CA, planning to turn right across the trolly tracks onto Severin Drive. If I recall correctly, I assumed FSD would stop for the NO RIGHT TURN LED; but instead, it continued to make the right turn. Luckily my son was in the right seat and yelled several times for me to stop, which I did—just a few feet from the crossing arm, which can been seen elevated in the middle of the second Street View PDF I uploaded, and which was just coming down for the approaching trolley. By the time I got stopped, The crossing arm was fully down, and as noted above I ended up just a few feet from it, and would clearly and unequivocally have driven under and through it if I hadn’t braked suddenly. It’s clear that this was completely the fault of FSD either not reading or not being aware of the intermittent NO RIGHT TURN LED sign. Since FSD clearly doesn’t read NO RIGHT TURN signs, particularly intermittent LED signs, the solution seems to make this intersection NO RIGHT TURN whenever the light is green to pass through the intersection on Amaya, although this will hold up the cars who would like to turn right when there’s no trolley approaching.Read more

The vehicle's seatbelt did lock up and keep her from slamming into the steering column and windshield and the vehicle's Front Assist Braking system did engage after the impact to slow her down and actually tried pulling her to the side of the road, although, that could be a flaw as well as it assumed that she was in the right lane of the road to begin with, so it pulled her to stop in the middle of the right lane of the Interstate. Thankfully it was late enough in the evening and no other traffic so she was able to figure that out in her post accident confusion and was able to get the car further off the road and call for help. The Atlas had to be towed from the scene. Prior to this incident there has been no issues with any warning lights coming on and we have had all past recalls taken care of through the VW Dealership we bought our VW from, so we assume that they were taken care of properly.Read more

My vehicle started having stuttering/shifting issues back in August 2025, I was advised the vehicle did not need new engine but upgraded oil. I continued to have the issues and have continued to bring back to dealer for constant software updates - cannot duplicate issue meanwhile the stop sale order was issued and I was not advised. The vehicle then experienced very hard jerking- stall- that lead

Dealer stated the vehicle showed the stall/shutter but could not duplicate on road test. This is a serious safety issue!!Read more
