The braking event also caused back pain, and I later experienced some stomach discomfort. I am concerned this was a false activation of the automatic emergency braking / Collision Mitigation Braking System. I am also concerned because the system reactivates after the vehicle is restarted, meaning I cannot reliably prevent another unexpected braking event from occurring. I am requesting that this be documented as a vehicle safety concern involving possible false activation of the automatic emergency braking system. While driving the car immediately downshifted and I could not accelerate. The Hill assist came on and service advance trac came on. This happened 3 times. After we picked the truck up on April 26th it stalled on the highway on the home
... and we had it towed again. They kept it for 4 days drove it 80 miles and said nothing was wrong no repair was done or needed. On May 13 it stalled again in front of train tracks. Luckly I was able to stop and start it quickly to drive it to a near dealership. We picked up the truck today, and it stalled again on the way home. We drove it back to the dealership today, May 23rd, hopefully they can figure it out. We are again without a car for a long period of time. We have paid $1,964.10 in repairs that have not fixed the problem. The way the truck stops so suddenly is very dangerous as it happened once getting on the highway and once in front of a train track.Read more

While traveling at highway speeds on Interstate 5 in Oregon, my 2015 GMC Yukon Denali experienced a sudden, catastrophic engine failure with zero advance warning. The vehicle was towed and inspected by Point S in Creswell, OR, where diagnostics confirmed a P0300 random/multiple cylinder misfire, with cylinder 4 specifically misfiring. Using a stethoscope and scanner to isolate the failure, technicians confirmed a catastrophic rod knock failure at the bottom end of the engine. The vehicle was then taken to Sam’s Automotive Service, where a complete engine replacement was executed at a total out-of-pocket cost of $16,000. General Motors has a well-documented history of internal engine failures on these 6.2L V8 platforms, yet they have failed to issue a safety recall for vehicles experiencing this sudden, dangerous highway power loss.Read more

My 2020 Ford EcoSport is subject to Safety Recall 23S64 for failure of the engine oil pump drive belt and/or tensioner. What component failed: The engine oil pump drive belt and/or tensioner failed, resulting in loss of oil pressure and major engine damage. Date of failure: Approximately [XXX] (Repair Order opened January 13 2026, mileage at failure: approximately 98000). Safety risk: This defe
... ct caused sudden engine failure, creating a serious safety hazard while driving. Confirmation: The failure was confirmed and documented by All Star Ford dealership (Service Advisor Nicholas Borne), as well as Ford Motor Company. The vehicle has been at the dealership since January 13, 2026 and remains out of service for 130 days as of May 23, 2026 due to parts backorder for the recall repair. Prior symptoms: No warning lamps or symptoms were noticed prior to the sudden failure. Additional issues: - Ford’s official Recall 23S64 guidance requires a no-cost rental or loaner vehicle for customers with engine failure. - The dealer submitted and received pre-approval for $1,200 rental reimbursement (Approval Code [XXX], 30 days from 01/26/2026 – 02/24/2026), but I have not been reimbursed. - The dealer has also refused to provide me with a rental car from the dealership. • I sent a formal written notice to both Ford Motor Company and All Star Ford Denham Springs on April 20, 2026, giving them 14 days to resolve the issues. That deadline has passed with no adequate response. • This has caused significant financial and personal hardship (lost wages, maxed credit cards, emergency loan taken out). I am requesting NHTSA assistance to enforce proper recall remedies, including rental reimbursement/loaner vehicle and a permanent resolution of the vehicle. I own a 2023 Toyota Tundra that is part of the major engine recall due to machining debris in the 3.4L V6 engine. A few days prior to the failure, I called the dealership to raise concerns that the acceleration was starting to not act right. Despite this, while driving at 70 mph on the highway yesterday (May 22, 2026), the engine suddenly failed and died without any prior warning, it is my belief
... that this is due to the open recall. This created a very dangerous situation as I was traveling at highway speed and could have been rear-ended or lost control of the vehicle. The truck had to be towed to the dealership. The truck now has 33,000 miles. I purchased it used for $49,000 with only 11,000 miles. This is the same known defect Toyota has issued a recall for, yet my engine still failed catastrophically. I am extremely concerned that this failure has caused additional damage to the transmission, drivetrain, or other components. I have completely lost confidence in the safety and reliability of this vehicle. Even after the planned engine replacement, I do not feel safe driving it due to the risk of future failure and the known history of this defect. I am requesting that Toyota provide a full buyback or replacement because this sudden engine failure at highway speeds poses a serious safety risk. Toyota has been notified, but I want this incident officially documented with NHTSA due to the widespread nature of these engine failures in 2022-2023 Tundras.Read more

I took my vehicle in to the dealership on April 24, 2026 for a software update after receiving notice in the mail. The update changed my auto stop/start so that it is on whenever the vehicle is started. When removing my foot from the brake the car surges forward without me touching the gas peddle. I took my Hyandai back in to the dealership on May 4, 2026, and was told that the auto stop/start w
... as supposed to now be staying on as that was in the software update. They said they could not duplicate the surging of the vehicle. It has surged strong enough to move forward, while stopped at an intersection, that it put me out two to three feet. I felt it necessary to put it in reverse and back up it was out so far. This will absolutely put others at risk as I drive and work in a downtown area with lots of crosswalks with lots of people crossing, and should vehicles be stopped in front of me, it could hit them. I can turn it off, but in the beginning it seemed to be turning itself back on. Additionally, I am not used to always turning it off because I never had to before and I don't always remember. This week, something new: When pulling off after starting the car, even if I remember to turn off the start/stop, the car is jerking forward when I depress the gas. It's like it is getting surges of gas, or like the peddle is being pushed to the floor, let off, pushed to the floor, let off, etc. I am so incredibly scared now to just drive the vehicle I've loved for over five years now. My vehicle has not been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance or any others. I did not know this was an option. I would love to get more information about how to go about this. There are no warnings of any kind when this occurs, which is every single time I get in it. Please, someone, tell me what I can do further. Continue taking it back to the dealership? Ride with them next time? I just am at a loss and incredibly scared. I am a woman in my 60s.Read more

The lower corner of the driver's side door has an extremely sharp edge that caused a laceration to my lower leg during normal exit from the vehicle. The sharp edge at the bottom corner of the door made contact with my leg, resulting in a bleeding laceration with surrounding bruising and ecchymosis requiring wo

The design of the lower door corner, which wraps under the vehicle body, creates a sharp edge that poses an injury hazard during routine entry and exit. I am filing this complaint to establish a record with NHTSA, as multiple owners have reported similar injuries across Hyundai's SUV lineup. I have photographic documentation of the injury.Read more
