Incident Narrative

An employee and crew were attempting to install an I-beam support upright between two horizontal running I-beam supports in an existing structure. The crew carried the support and fit it in place. The injured employee tapped the bottom of the support with a hammer to make it fit. The bottom of the beam fell off and landed on the employee's right foot, breaking the fifth toe.
