Incident Narrative
EXPLOSION AT PRIVATE RESIDENCE OF 3325 N 53RD ST IN LINCOLN NE. THIS RESULTED IN DAMAGE TO THE RESIDENCE AND INJURY TO THE SINGLE OCCUPANT. THE GAS METER SERVING THIS RESIDENCE WAS DAMAGED FROM THE STRUCTURE'S EXPLOSION, RELEASED NATURAL GAS, AND IGNITED. GAS SERVICE TO THE METER WAS SHUT OFF AFTER DIGGING IT UP CLOSE TO THE MAIN AND PINCHING OFF. CAUSE OF EXPLOSION IS UNKNOWN AND STILL UNDER INVESTIGATION. PROPERTY LOSS IS YET UNKNOWN AND UNDER INVESTIGATION.
