MY SON RECENTLY GRADUATED TO A BOOSTER SEAT. I PURCHASED COSCO TRAVELER HIGH BACK BOOSTER. MY SON FITS ALL OF THE SPECIFICATIONS FOR THIS BOOSTER SEAT. I INSTALLED IT PROPERLY. MY SON WAS IN THE BOOSTER SEAT. AS I WAS DRIVING ALONG THE FREEWAY MY SON DROPPED HIS BOOK ON THE FLOOR. HE LEANED FORWARD TO PICK IT UP FROM THE FLOOR AND THE ARM OF THE BOOSTER SEAT CAUSED THE SEAT BELT BUTTON ON THE LATCH TO DEPRESS, WHICH THUS UNBUCKLED THE SEAT BELT AND CAUSED MY SON TO FALL OUT OF HIS SEAT WHILE REACHING FOR HIS BOOT. THE SEAT BELT UNBUCKLES EVERY SINGLE TIME MY SON LEANS FORWARD AT ALL DUE TO THE "ARM" OF THE BOOSTER SEAT. BY 1:30 PM THE NEXT DAY (16 HOURS LATER) THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WAS ON AND THE BACK SUSPENSION SOUNDED LIKE IT WAS 100 YEARS OLD. THE WINDSHIELD WASHERS DID NOT FUNCTION PROPERLY AND IT WAS MONSOON SEASON. THE SWITCH FOR POWER WINDOWS WAS NOT WORKING, I HAD A BRAKE LIGHT OUT, NO SUN VISOR, AND NO DASH LIGHTS TO ILLUMINATE MY GAUGE CLUSTER AT NIGHT. ALL WITHIN 16 HOURS AND 15.5 OF THOSE HOURS IT WAS SITTING IN MY DRIVEWAY NOT EVEN BEING USED. I DROVE IT 5 MINUTES DOWN THE ROAD WHEN I BOUGHT IT AND THEN 8 MINUTES TO THE CHURCH THE FOLLOWING MORNING, AND THEN 15 MINUTES BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP TO REPORT THE PROBLEMS. THE SERVICE DEALER FOUND THE POSITIONING CABLE WAS NOT MAKING CONNECTION AND THE FUSE LINKS DID NOT MAKE A CONNECTION, THE A/C REMAINED BLOWING COLD AFTER 2 HOSES HAD BEEN REPLACED. THE A/C COMPRESSOR WAS COMING APART INTERNALLY CAUSING METAL TO RELEASE THROUGHOUT THE SYSTEM. *SC
HAVE A SET OF REGATTA II, 215SR75. @25,000 - 30,000 MILES ON TIRES. EXPERIENCED SHIMMYING AT LOW SPEEDS AND VIBRATION AT HIGH SPEEDS. CHECK INFLATION FREQUENTLY AND PUT AIR IN WHEN NECESSARY. HAD A PASSENGER SIDE REAR TIRE BLOW OUT RECENTLY. APPEARED AS IF SIDE WALLS HAD BURST. NEVER SEEN ANYTHING LIKE IT IN ALL MY LIFE. (SIDE NOTE: HAD RECENTLY HAD BRAKE PADS REPLACED, THE TIRE IN QUESTION WAS ON THE FRONT, MECHANIC DISCOVERED TIRE TO BE SERIOUSLY OUT OF BALANCE AND HAD DIFFICULT TIME TRYING TO BALANCE IT, WHICH IS WHY HE PUT IT ON THE REAR) AFTER TIRE BLEW OUT THE TIRE DEALER SAID SIDE WALLS WERE PROBABLY WEAKENED BY UNDERINFLATION MOST LIKELY CAUSED BY A SLOW LEAK. THIS EXPLANATION IS INADEQUATE. HE REPLACED THE TIRE AT FULL PRICE MINUS $11.00 AND SAID IT WAS NOT A WARRANTY ISSUE AS THE WARRANTY ONLY COVERED TREAD WEAR. AFTER REPLACING THE TIRE THE VEHICLE (NISSAN QUEST MINIVAN) STILL SHIMMIES AT LOW SPEED AND VIBRATES AT HIGH SPEED. MY CONCERNS ARE: 1. ARE THE THREE REMAINING ORIGINAL REGATTA II TIRES IN IMMENENT DANGER OF EXPLODING LIKE THE OTHER ONE? 2.CONSIDERING THE DIFFICULTY BALANCING THE ONE TIRE THAT BLEW, WAS THAT TIRE DEFECTIVE? 3. COULD THE SAME PROBLEM BE OCCURING IN MY OTHER 3 TIRES CREATING A SERIOUS, DANGEROUS SITATION? *AK

VEHICLE STOPPED WITH FOOT ON BRAKE. WITHOUT WARNING VEHICLE SURGED FORWARD INTO REAR END OF VEHICLE IN FRONT. THE IDLE WAS RACING SO FAST THAT THE BRAKE WAS UNABLE TO HOLD THE VEHICLE. IDLE KEPT RACING UNTIL THE VEHICLE WAS SHUT OFF. WHEN RESTARTED THE IDLE WAS BACK DOWN. CAR HAD BEEN EXPERIENCING INTERMITTENTLY SIGNIFICANT FORWARD SURGES WHEN THE A/C COMPRESSOR KICKED ON. THE PROBLEM WAS REPORTED TO NISSAN SEVERAL TIMES. ALL TIMES THE DEALER ADVISED THAT THE TECHNICIAN COULD NOT REPRODUCE THE PROBLEM.

WHEN I TRIED TO START THE CAR AIR BAG LIGHT STARTED TO FLASH FOR NO PARTICULAR REASON. CAR WAS NOT IN ANY ACCIDENT. DEALER REPLACED AIR BAGS:SENSOR/CONTROL MODULE. SINCE IT HAPPENED WITHOUT ANY REASON, I CONCLUDE THAT AIR BAG SYSTEM SUPPLIED WITH NISSAN QUEST IS UNSAFE AND WILL NOT HELP DURING ACCIDENT. THIS IS A MANUFACTURER FAULT, I WOULD LIKE TO BE REIMBURSED FOR THE REPAIR PRICE ($800). *JB
A CHILD IN THE REAR SEAT WAS UNABLE TO REMOVE THE SEAT BELT. THE SEAT BELT LOCKED IN THE AUTOMATIC LOCKING POSITION AND WAS TIGHT AROUND THE CHILD NECK. THE SEAT BELT HAD TO BE CUT TO RELEASE THE CHILD FROM THE SEAT BELT. *JB
