Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Land Rover) is recalling certain 2010-2013 Range Rover Sport and 2010-2016 LR4 vehicles equipped with 3.0L V6 or 5.0L V8 engines. The fuel outlet flange mounted on the fuel tank may crack, possibly resulting in a fuel leak.
Remedy: Dealers will replace the fuel outlet flange, free of charge. Interim owner notification letters were mailed October 7, 2021. Owner notification letters were mailed May 11, 2022. Owners may contact Land Rover customer service at 1-800-637-6837. Land Rover's number for this recall is N623.

TIRES:PRESSURE MONITORING AND REGULATING SYSTEMS
Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Land Rover) is recalling certain model year 2014 Range Rover and Range Rover Sport and 2013-2014 LR4 vehicles manufactured September 16, 2013, to June 30, 2014. In the affected vehicles, the Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) may fail to learn the locations of the individual sensors while the vehicle is being driven. As a result, the low tire pressure warning light will illuminate, despite the the tire pressures being within specification. Should one of the tires subsequently lose air pressure, the driver would not be notified of the change in air pressure.
Remedy: Land Rover will notify owners, and dealers will update the Body Control Module (BCM) software, free of charge. The recall began on November 6, 2014. Owners may contact Land Rover customer service at 1-800-637-6837, Option 9. Land Rover's number for this recall is P050.

The contact owns a 2014 Land Rover LR4. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 21V635000 (Fuel System, Gasoline). The dealer was contacted; however, the contact was informed that the recall had expired and was no longer available. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure regarding the unrepaired recall.

Communication error with system. This controls all functions from braking to cameras to suspension and audio/phone. Research shows that this is a habitual issue on almost all Land Rover models with no fix except to replace entire infotainment center which parts only range from 3-6k. Something needed to be done. This is supposed to be a high end vehicle. There are so many blogs with the same issue with no fix

According to dealer, the connecting rod became dislodged and forced itself through the engine block rendering the entire engine and all related components (e.g. supercharger) inoperable and requiring replacement.

The contact owns a 2014 Land Rover LR4. The contact stated that while his wife was operating the vehicle, the gear selector would not shift out of Drive. Additionally, the vehicle could not be driven in Reverse. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic who diagnosed that the drive shaft assembly and the transmission control module were faulty and needed to be replaced. The contact was informed that the driveshaft assembly was on back-order and currently unavailable. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The local dealer was notified of the failure. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 120,000.

OUR 2014 LR4 LOST ALL POWER WHILE DRIVING ON A SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA FREEWAY IN THE FAST LANE. SUDDENLY THE CAR STARTED SHUTTING DOWN WITH ZERO WARNING LIGHTS PRIOR TO THE ACCELERATION/POWER NOT WORKING. THE ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND WE HAD TO NAVIGATE OUR WAY TO THE SHOULDER THROUGH VERY FAST TRAFFIC WHILE OUR CAR CONTINUED TO SLOW DOWN. WE MADE IT TO THE SHOULDER JUST AS THE CAR COMPLETELY STOPPED RUNNING AND IT WOULDN'T START AGAIN. THIS INCIDENT WAS INCREDIBLY FRIGHTENING AND OUR ENTIRE FAMILY IS VERY LUCKY WE WERE NOT HIT AND/OR INJURED. OUR CAR WAS IN GREAT CONDITION WITH ONLY 56K MILES AND THERE WAS NEVER A WARNING LIGHT THAT CAME ON AT ANY PRIOR TO THE ENGINE SHUT DOWN.

WHEN ATTEMPTING TO RESTART, ENGINE WOULD TURN OVER BUT NOT START AS IF NO FUEL WAS BEING DELIVERED INTO THE CYLINDERS.

I WAS DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY AND THE CAR JUST STARTED LOSING POWER. I PULLED OVER TO SEE WHAT WAS GOING ON AND THE CAR HAD ANTIFREEZE UNDER THE ENGINE AREA AND WOULD NOT START AGAIN. THE CAR HAS UNDER 90,000 MILES. REPLACED THE ORIGINAL WATER PUMP AT 40,000 MILES. THE NEW WATER PUMP WENT OUT AT 89,000 MILES CAUSING THE ENGINE TO CEASE UP.

THE FAULT CODE SAID THERE WAS IMPROPER SERIAL DATA VALUES RECEIVED. THE CAR HAS JUST CROSSED OVER 50,000 MILES WITHIN THE LAST MONTH, HOWEVER IT IS STILL WITHIN 4 YEARS OF PURCHASE. SINCE THE MILEAGE IS OVER 50,000 MILES, I WAS TOLD BY DEALERSHIP THERE IS NO WARRANTY LEFT FOR THE AIRBAGS. SINCE THIS IS A MAJOR SAFETY FEATURE, I BELIEVE THIS SHOULD BE REPAIRED AT MANUFACTURER'S EXPENSE. THE PASSENGER SIDE DOOR LOCK ALSO FAILED AT THE SAME TIME. I HAVE ATTEMPTED TO RESOLVE THE ISSUE BY OPENING AND CLOSING THE DOOR, ADJUSTING THE SEAT POSITION AND FASTENING AND UNFASTENING THE PASSENGER SEAT BELT BUT THE LIGHT STILL REMAINS ON.

THIS HAS BEEN A COMPLAINT SINCE THE LR4 WAS REFRESHED IN 2014 WITH AUTO STOP START. IT SEEMS LIKE A SOFTWARE UPDATE TO THE WAY THE TRANSMISSION REENGAGES AFTER A START WOULD FIX THIS ISSUE. IF YOU'RE UNAWARE THAT THIS CAN HAPPEN, THE CAR COULD LUNGE FORWARD ENOUGH TO HIT THE CAR IN FRONT OF YOU. I HAVE BEEN TOLD BY MY LOCAL DEALER THAT THERE IS NO SOFTWARE UPDATE AVAILABLE AND THE THE SYSTEM IS JUST JERKY. THAT IS UNACCEPTABLE. ADDITIONALLY, THE ROTARY SHIFTER ON THE LR4 DOES NOT AUTOMATICALLY ENGAGE PARK WHEN THE DOOR IS OPENED LIKE IS NOW REQUIRED FOR ALL FCA VEHICLES AFTER THEIR RECALL. IF YOU'RE NOT PAYING CLOSE ATTENTION, IT'S POSSIBLE TO SELECT THE WRONG GEAR WHEN GETTING OUT WITHOUT SHUTTING OFF THE VEHICLE AND IT ROLLING AWAY.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 LAND ROVER LR4. WHEN THE VEHICLE CAME TO A COMPLETE STOP, THE VEHICLE WENT INTO ECO MODE AND STALLED WHEN THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS RELEASED. THE VEHICLE WAS ABLE TO BE RESTARTED. THE FAILURE RECURRED ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE BATTERY TERMINAL WAS LOOSE. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 700.
