AIR BAGS:PASSENGER SIDE FRONTAL:CUSHION
Nissan North America, Inc. (INFINITI) is recalling certain 2003 INFINITI FX35, 2006-2008 FX35 and FX45 vehicles that previously received a replacement front passenger air bag assembly under recall number 20V-008. The air bag cushion was folded incorrectly, which could increase internal pressure and tear the air bag cushion during deployment.
Remedy: INFINITI will notify owners, and dealers will replace the front passenger air bag module, free of charge. The recall began on April 19, 2021. Owners may contact INFINITI customer service at 1-800-662-6200. INFINITI's number for this recall is R20C2.

Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain 2001-2003 Maxima, 2002-2006 Sentra, 2002-2004 Pathfinder, 2007-2011 Versa Sedan and Versa Hatchback, 2001-2004 Infiniti I30 and I35, 2002-2003 Inifiniti QX4, 2003-2008 Infiniti FX35 and FX45 and 2006-2010 M35 and M45 vehicles. The vehicles are equipped with non-desiccated, frontal passenger air bag inflators containing phase stabilized ammonium nitrate (PSAN) propellant that were used as interim remedy parts for previous Takata recalls. These inflators may explode due to propellant degradation occurring after long-term exposure to high absolute humidity, high temperatures, and high temperature cycling.
Remedy: Nissan will notify owners, and dealers will replace the front passenger air bag inflators with alternate desiccated inflators, free of charge. The recall began February 12, 2020. Owners may contact Nissan customer service at 888-737-9511 or Infiniti customer service at 888-810-3715.

These vehicles are equipped with certain air bag inflators assembled as part of the passenger frontal air bag modules, and used as original equipment or replacement equipment. These inflators may rupture due to propellant degradation occurring after long-term exposure to absolute humidity and temperature cycling.
Remedy: Nissan will notify owners, and dealers will replace the passenger frontal air bag inflator, free of charge. The recall began December 21, 2017. All owners should receive a second notice by May 15, 2017. Owners may contact Nissan customer service at 1-800-647-7261.

My airbag light came on again recently, without any incident and I am concerned that this means my car is now unsafe. This happened in 2017 and it was a repair that was made without charge. I have now been informed that it would cost over $1,000 to repair, but I think this is a malfunction that should be covered by the Dealer, as there has been an issue with the airbags before.

Ever since I bought my infiniti the air bag light flashed rapidly on the dash. I received notice a couple years ago about the air bags being recalled.I took my vehicle to Roseville Infiniti and supposedly the airbags were replaced I expected it to take a couple hours it was in and out in under 2 hours. When i left the deLership the light was still blinking and never quit blinking. My concern was to call and ask why it was still blinking ? I was told that it probably wasnt reset however the air bag was replaced . I was in an accident recently and it was a serious frontal collision and not one airbag went off . I was seriously injured my hand was fractured my left leg was hurt and I had a concussion and cervical sprain this all would have been prevented had my airbags deployed.

I AM CONCERNED BECAUSE THE NHTSA WEBSITE STATES THAT AS OF 12/14/2016 "RECALL IS INCOMPLETE. REMEDY NOT YET AVAILABLE". TAKATA RECALL THE RECALL WAS ISSUED ON THIS CAR IN MAY 2016, AND THE DEALERSHIPS STILL DO NOT HAVE PARTS AS OF TODAY, 10/21/2016. WE ARE NOW BEING TOLD THAT THE PARTS WILL NOT BE HERE BEFORE MID TO END OF NOVEMBER. CUSTOMERS ARE BEING TOLD THAT IT IS SAFE TO STILL DRIVE THE CAR, AS LONG AS WE REFRAIN FROM ANYONE BEING IN THE FRONT SEAT. HOWEVER, THIS IS NOT FEASIBLE IF YOU ONLY HAVE ONE CAR, AND MULTIPLE FAMILY MEMBERS. I AM AWARE THAT MANY CARS HAVE BEEN AFFECTED BY THIS RECALL, BUT I DO BELIEVE THAT EXTREME URGENCY MUST BE GIVEN TO THE OLDEST MODEL YEAR CARS THAT ARE MOST AT RISK, AS IN THIS CASE. I REACHED OUT TO INFINITI CUSTOMER AFFAIRS TODAY, AND AFTER MUCH PROTESTING ON MY PART, THEY AGREED TO REACH OUT TO AN INFINITI RETAILER AND CALL ME BACK IN A WEEK, IN HOPES OF GETTING A LOANER VEHICLE. I WANT TO STRESS THAT WE HAVE MADE DUE WITH ANOTHER VEHICLE UNTIL NOW, BUT AT SOME POINT THE BURDEN CANNOT BE PLACED ON THE CUSTOMER. THEY SHOULD BE GIVING LOANER VEHICLES TO THOSE CUSTOMERS THAT HAVE HIGH RISK OLDER MODEL CARS. UNFORTUNATELY, THERE WAS NEWS OF ANOTHER PERSON BEING KILLED YESTERDAY IN CALIFORNIA AS A RESULT OF THE AIRBAG ISSUE. THIS PERSON ALSO HAD AN OLDER MODEL CAR. I AM SURE THIS CUSTOMER WAS ALSO ADVISED THAT IT WAS SAFE TO DRIVE THE CAR, AS I WAS TOLD NUMEROUS TIMES PRIOR. HOWEVER, THERE MUST BE SOME ACCOUNTABILITY ON THE PART OF THE CAR MAKER TO PROVIDE CONTINGENCY PLANS FOR CUSTOMERS AT HIGH RISK, SUCH AS CAR MODELS TEN YEARS OR OLDER. I AM CERTAIN MANY PEOPLE HAVE EMAILED IN, BUT I HOPE THAT THIS REACHES SOMEONE WHO CAN UNDERSTAND THE IMPORTANCE OF SOME SORT OF CONTINGENCY PLAN TO BE GIVEN TO CUSTOMERS LIKE MYSELF WITH 2003 MODEL CAR, WITH NO PARTS IN SIGHT TILL AT LEAST END OF NEXT MONTH. AT 234,634 AND FREQUENTLY THEREAFTER THE VEHICLE WHEN DRIVING WOULD JUST SUDDENLY OVERHEAT AND ENGINE COOLING SYSTEM MALFUNCTION CAUSING AUTOMOBILE TO SUDDENLY LOSE POWER AND START TO SHUT DOWN WHILE DRIVING ON MAJOR HIGHWAYS OR ROADS. I HAVE A 2003 INFINITY FX35, FOR SOME TIME I HAVE BEEN HAVING TROUBLE WITH ALL THE DOOR ACTUATORS THEY SOMETIME WORK AND SOME NOT, NOW THEY DON'T WORK AT ALL. IT STARTED WITH THE DRIVERS DOOR AND LIKE 2 MONTHS LATER THE REST OF THE DOORS INCLUDING THE TRUNK. I HAD IT CHECK WITH AN ELECTROMECHANICAL AND HE TOLD ME IS THE DOOR ACTUATORS THAT I HAVE TO REPLACE ALL OF THEM. I HAVE BEEN READING THAT THIS HAPPENS TO ALL INFINITY FX35 MODELS AND SOME OTHERS. I REALLY THINK THIS IS A VERY SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE AND SOMETHING MOST BE DONE ABOUT IT....
