A local Chicago area dealership, Tyson Chrysler, advises that replacement parts have not been received for the 2019 model vehicles, but have been received for model years 2020 and 2021. As a result, the potential danger associated with possible rupture of the SABIC Inflator Curtains in my 2019 Chrysler 300S continues to exist, and may lead to catastrophic failure and personal injury as the vehicle repair remains unresolved.

I have reached out to the dealership several times about the open recall and they keep saying they have to order it and will call me when they receive it. Never got a call back and it’s been months almost and .
Smell of straight gas coming through the car when accelerating, then checked if there was a recall and there was. Spoke to Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, Ram and said they don’t have the parts available for the recall.
Unknown. The car shut off while driving. Flashing a code put in park and the D on the shifter knob was flashing. Vehicle wouldn't start for about 30 minutes. It was making a loud noise while trying to restart. Then it ran like normal after that. We are not shure but we think the fuel gage and low fuel light are not working properly. We put a few gallons of fuel in it and it started normally with no no loud noise.

The cruise system malfunctioned. In multiple scenarios (at least three) when the cruise control was set, if the accelerator is pushed while the cruise control is engaged, the vehicle will continue to accelerate even if the accelerator is released. Disengaging the cruise control via brake usage or by hand on the steering wheel does not stop the unwanted acceleration. The only way to stop the acceleration is to move it from in Drive to Neutral. At that point, an error populates on the dash and the acceleration stops with cruise control disengagement as well. The issue is fixed upon placing the car back in Drive. Unsolicited acceleration puts the driver and others on the road at risk. The issue has not been presented to a dealer or service center for review and has not been inspected by other entities. No dash messages or warnings occurred prior to the failure.

Within the first year I had the vehicle each of the head lights failed. Still under warranty the Dealer determined that the fuses were bad and charged me $90 each time to replace the fuses. I now have an issue with the passenger side head light. Initially it was an interment off-on condition. Now it is continuously off. I have not had this one fixed yet. but I suspect that the fuse block is defective and is not securing the fuse (ie a loose connection), which would be evident.by signs of arcing between the fuse tang and the fuse block contacts. Minor arcing between the two contacts would diminish current flow between the contacts until the light would no longrer come on.

It is obvious that this 2019 Chrysler 300 has the defects that a recall was issued by the NHSTA about. My electrical systems have malfunctioned multiple times causing the vehicle to lock up and die in traffic. The power steering would go out. The car wouldn’t want to shift. Anything and everything that could read information out wrong was going off. The check engine light. The brake system. Transmission. Etc. just everything was lit up on the dash. The car would lock and unlock on its own. The windshield wipers would come on and turn off by themselves. The transmission is electric too, and it would want to lock up when you tried to shift it to park. This car has truly been a nightmare for me. I was the second owner. It was sold to me by Crain Ford of Little Rock. I was never told anything about any recall.

The battery is in the trunk. If it is dead, the trunk open button in the car won't work and there is no place to use a key in the trunk to open it. You have to go into the front door, crawl through the inside of the car, open the back seat, crawl through the opening and pull the trunk release handle INSIDE the trunk. Then you can either charge or replace the battery. I am 78 and can not physically do this. It is a real safety issue if I am stranded away from a garage or in a bad area and I am not able to get the car started with a dead battery. I have been without the use of my car for a week while I try to get someone to replace the battery.02172023
