I have 36400 miles on my vehicle. It has been to dealer for service as per maintenance manual On Monday the water pump blew. The oil covers blew. They are not even scheduled to be inspected until 60000 Miles I now have a 1800 bill. Service man said these things happen. They don’t make them like th
... ey used to. WHAT In 2022 the whole radiator system had to be replaced at 26000 miles Tuesday while taking the car to dealership not knowing what was wrong I broke down on the 405freeway during rush hour. Horrible experience. I told service man to make sure this wouldn’t happen to me driving home. All he said was you’ll be fine I asked if he was going to be checking the belts hoses etc. connected to the water pump. He said no. That’ll be more money. Please help.Read more

The contact owns a 2015 Land Rover Range Rover. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V-514000 (Steering); however, the part for the repairs was unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable timeframe for the remedy to be available. The conta

The vehicle had not been driven. The failure had occurred before and had been repaired at the expense of the contact. The dealer was contacted, and it was confirmed that the previous repairs were completed correctly and no cause for the failure occurring again was identified. After the failure occurred again and the recall notice was received by another dealer, Land Rover Lakeland, 2550 Interstate Dr, Lakeland, FL 33805, was contacted, and it was confirmed that there was no remedy. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue and confirmed the remedy was not available, and therefore, reimbursement could not be provided till there was a remedy. The contact owns a 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact stated while driving approximately 30-35 MPH and exiting the interstate with a speed limit of 55 MPH, the instrument panel, check engine, stability control, and several other warning lights illuminated. The vehicle felt like there was a m

The dealer diagnosed the vehicle and determined that the camshaft was damaged, and the valve lifters had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The manufacturer opened a case regarding the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 97,000.Read more

The open recall repair (NHTSA 23V-858) has not been completed. Additionally, there is a separate open recall, NHTSA Recall Number 25E-071 (Manufacturer Recall MMZ), involving 18-inch Honda Genuine Accessory wheels with improperly installed lug seat inserts. Both recalls remain unresolved. Beginning
... in approximately 2024, the vehicle exhibited intermittent jerking and stalling during acceleration, along with loss of smooth power delivery. No warning lamps were illuminated prior to failure. The vehicle was inspected in July 2025 after Wilkes-Barre Honda declined to provide assistance, and it passed inspection at that time. In October 2025, the engine failed to start, and the vehicle became fully non-operational. The insurance carrier was notified in October 2025 that the vehicle had become inoperable. The vehicle has not been inspected by the manufacturer, law enforcement, or the insurance company. It is currently available for inspection but is not safely drivable. Loss of power while driving presents a risk of collision. Multiple attempts were made to schedule an appointment with Wilkes-Barre Honda regarding the outstanding recall; however, no response was received. The manufacturer was also contacted on several occasions, but no meaningful assistance was provided. Despite repeated requests, the dealership has not conducted a formal inspection or confirmed the cause of the failure. The vehicle has remained inoperable for several months. Under these circumstances, asking me to arrange towing is not reasonable, as delays in addressing recalls have created additional practical barriers to accessing necessary transportation and resources. *Note: I've included a phone number for this complaint but do not have one. Additionally, lack of vehicle access due to unresolved recalls had already created practical barriers in obtaining one.Read more

I was driving home from work in rush hour so traffic was pretty heavy and all of the sudden my gas pedal would not accelerate my car at all. I was cruising at 8-10 MPH as it was stop and go traffic. About 10 seconds later my break pedal stiffens and I am unable to break. Neither the gas or break pe
... dal were functioning. It is a miracle that no accident was caused. I turned on my hazards lights but I was in the middle lane so I was unable to pull over (as I could not accelerate or break). I put my car in neutral but that did not help anything. I ended up having to put my car in park and turn the car completely off and back on before the pedals would function again. I got my car towed after the situation as I was terrified to drive in case it happened again. The dealership told me since no lights or codes came up they can’t find anything wrong. They gave me my car back but I do not feel safe driving the vehicle.Read more

My 2015 BMW 328i has a broken "plastic" parking brake cable bracket. It breaks so often on the BMW lineup of cars that businesses have made better work-arounds to fix the problem than a plastic part. A fantastic video explain it can be found at AGATools.com search BMW parking brake. It is on Yout

I am filing a formal complaint regarding serious safety and mechanical problems with my vehicle. The brakes do not function properly and I have to add brake fluid every few days, which indicates a possible leak or brake system failure. This creates an extremely dangerous driving condition. The vehic
... le also has electrical problems, including malfunctioning lights. The engine has lost power, making it unsafe to drive, especially in traffic or on highways. In addition, the airbag warning light is on, which means the airbag system may not deploy in a crash, putting me at risk of serious injury or death. These problems have made the vehicle unreliable and unsafe to operate. I am requesting that these issues be inspected and repaired immediately at no cost to me, or that the vehicle be replaced or refunded under warranty or consumer protection laws. I am concerned for my safety and the safety of others, and I expect this matter to be handled urgently.Read more

At 50k miles the transmission started to have a hard time finding a gear at low speeds, often “in neutral” - between gears for 1-2 seconds and on occasion up you 5-7 seconds. During this “neutral”, the engine could still rev freely and often built revs too high for the next gear, causing a h
... ard ‘jerking’ motion when the next gear is engaged. This proved to be moderately dangerous when merging into traffic with propulsion being cut. At 52000 miles, 10th gear would have trouble holding at highway speeds and would disengage for that same 5-7 second gap, only to eventually resort to 9th gear. Being left powerless on the highway can be extremely dangerous if you are caught traveling up a steep grade or passing another vehicle. At 53000 miles, the above mentioned 10th gear symptom arose at a steady 70 mph, and when 9th gear was engaged the dashboard illuminated a wrench icon with a message that said “maintenance required”. I could tell that the truck was operating at reduced power at this point. After researching the issue, I discovered the problem to be the CDF drum failed - an internal component that requires a full transmission rebuild. This problem appears to be an issue that plagues not some, BUT ALL 2017-2023 10r80 at some point in their life cycle. An extremely costly fix at that.Read more

I recently ought a 2022 Ford F-150 off of a private seller. It had a clean Carfax when I bought it. About a month after I bought the truck, on July 24, 2025, the following warning lights appeared on my dash all on the same day. Blind Spot Assist Not Available, Cross Traffic Assist Not Available, and
... Reverse Brake Assist Not Available. Also, my drivers side window would not roll down, and my drivers side lock/unlock buttons would not work. There were not any warning lamps, messages, or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure. So I took my truck into Gary Smith Ford in Fort Walton Beach, FL. on July 25, 2025 and they came back with the file I have uploaded below with the diagnosis and estimate. Of course the warranty has just expired a few months ago. We tried to make a claim with our insurance company and that was denied. I have also reached out to Ford Customer Service and they refused to help in any way. We were also never offered a loaner vehicle and my truck has been at the dealership for three weeks now. I am currently Active Duty Military and this is now effecting my ability to report for duty, and causing my leadership to question me. It is also effecting my family as we now only have one vehicle. As you can see in the link below, the estimate is quite high. and it is extremely frustrating that Ford has refused to help in any way, and will not provide any logical reason as to why except that the warranty is expired. Especially since this isn't my fault at all. Any help in rectifying this issue would be greatly appreciated. Thank You.Read more

I am filing this complaint regarding a defective CYBEX Callisto car seat and the company’s mishandling of my replacement request. The tension door of the car seat has malfunctioned three times while driving, causing the seat to become unsecured and putting my child’s safety at significant risk.
... This malfunction is deeply concerning and could lead to severe consequences. Details of the Incident Component Failure: The tension door of the car seat pops open during use, rendering the seat unsecured. This has occurred three times. Availability for Inspection: The defective car seat is available for inspection upon request. Safety Risk: Each malfunction directly jeopardized my child’s safety while driving. Inspection: A certified Child Passenger Safety Technician (CPST) and CYBEX customer service both confirmed that the car seat was installed correctly. CYBEX Customer Service Interaction: When I contacted CYBEX customer service to report the issue, they initially refused to replace the defective seat unless I provided a video of the malfunction. This request was unreasonable, as capturing the incident is nearly impossible due to its random nature and dangerous to attempt while driving. After further discussion, CYBEX agreed to replace the car seat under the condition that I remove all identifying product information (serial number, manufacturer date, etc.) and submit photos. I complied with their instructions, but I was subsequently informed that the car seat was out of stock in all colors, requiring me to wait for a replacement. When I later noticed that the car seat was back in stock in certain colors, I followed up with CYBEX, only to be told that they had reversed their decision and were now refusing to replace the seat. This decision, after I complied with all of their requests, including removing the product’s identifying information, is unacceptable and unprofessional.Read more

Vehicle Information: Year/Make/Model: 2022 Hyundai Ioniq 5 SE AWD VIN: [XXX] Mileage at issue onset: ~18,000–22,000 miles Purchase date: April 2022 Ownership type: Purchased new, paid in full Component Affected: Electrical System → Integrated Charging Control Unit (ICCU) / Charging System
... Problem Description: I am reporting a persistent and unresolved charging system failure involving the ICCU (Integrated Charging Control Unit) in my 2022 Hyundai Ioniq 5. This defect has rendered the vehicle unreliable and currently inoperable, leaving me without safe transportation for myself and my infant child. Over the past year, I’ve brought the vehicle to the dealership more than 10 times, including 6 visits in just the last 3 months, due to charging issues that were supposed to be addressed via multiple recall campaigns (e.g., Campaigns 228, 997, 9A1, 9B5, 272, TCP). Despite these attempted software and firmware updates, the issue persists and culminated in a total failure to charge in March 2025. The dealership confirmed ICCU failure again, but advised that the part is on indefinite backorder, with no timeline for repair or safe operation. This defect is dangerous, particularly as it can result in loss of power and stranding, with potential risks to driver and passenger safety. Hyundai is aware of this widespread issue among Ioniq 5 owners but has not issued a permanent fix or offered viable alternatives to affected consumers. Hyundai denied my Lemon Law claim despite substantial repair documentation and admitted ICCU defects. I have filed with the BBB Auto Line and IL Attorney General. I’m now preparing for legal action. This is not just a consumer issue — it’s a national electric vehicle safety issue involving Hyundai’s inability to resolve a known, system-wide defect in a core safety component. Attachments: Available upon request: repair invoices, dealer assessments, Hyundai’s denial letter, lemon law filings. The harness on one of our 2 Nuna Rava carseats affected by the recall has come loose without pressing the harness release on two occasions, failing to restrain my child. I became aware on these two occasions because he was able to lean forward while the car was moving. There was no predictable indic
... ator. Of note I do tighten and release the harness every time I take my kids in and out of the car so there is significant regular movement of the strap. The harness seemed to work between the two instances that occurred a few days apart and seemed to work until I learned of the recall and discontinued use. When I test it manually now the harness holds. As part of the recall have performed the harness test, cleaning, and repeated harness test according to the instructions from Nuna and had a virtual meeting to review the steps. I have expressed concern that through a very small opening under the vehicle belt securement compartment the harness path is partially visible and I can see debris in both seats that I am not able to reach to remove. Of note my son has also vomited and it dripped into the shell in that area and I contacted the support chat and was told to spray enzyme cleaner and allow it to dry. I was advised this area of the seat is not part of the recall and that as long as the teeth of the clip are clean the recall issue has been remedied. I am concerned that with the movement of the strap loosening and tightening the harnesses and movement/vibration of the car this debris could get caught and be the cause of the strap having failed intermittently and more importantly potentially cause it to fail in the future. Safety risk is inadequate restraint of my child. The seat has not been inspected by the manufacturer in person, I explained that i am not comfortable using them and that I want them to provide cleaning but they offered the virtual call instead and I am now waiting for a Nuna car seat tech to contact me regarding my concerns.Read more

By the time I received my car in OCT2024, I was told it had been updated to 2.2 from 2.0 and that there had been checks performed for some recalls. Oh course shortly after getting my car back, a technician was coming through our area to help a bricked owner. Well, upon inspection by the technician the car was not updated to 2.2 at all, only the ECUs visible to me or apps had been updated. My car was still mostly on 2.0 software modules. I ended up paying for the 2.2 update by the experienced technician. On 01 February 2025, my 2024 Ford Maverick XLT was involved in a front-end collision where two critical safety systems failed: 1.Airbag System Failure: The airbags did not deploy despite a significant front-end impact. This component is still available for inspection upon request. 2.Forward Collisio
... n Sensor Malfunction: The front collision sensor system failed to detect the obstacle and did not engage automatic braking, which contributed to the severity of the crash. This system is also available for inspection. Safety Risk: Due to these failures, my wife was hit in the chest by the force of the impact, and our dog was thrown inside the vehicle. My wife may have sustained internal injuries or bruising as a result. The failure of both the airbag system and collision avoidance system put our safety at serious risk. Problem Confirmation: The issue has not yet been confirmed by a dealer or service center because my insurance company (Progressive) is scheduled to inspect the vehicle on Monday. I will update this report if additional findings are confirmed. Inspection Status: The vehicle has not yet been inspected by the manufacturer (Ford), but I have reported the issue to them for investigation. The vehicle will be inspected by insurance representatives to assess the damage and possible system malfunctions. No police report was filed at the time of the accident. Warning Signs Prior to Failure: There were no warning lamps or error messages prior to the failure. The vehicle was operating normally until the moment of the collision.Read more

Ongoing problem with car not starting because of "steering wheel lock" message. Took to dealership first time and they replaced 2 fobs ($600) and starter ($2700). After 2 months same message came back on and car wouldn't start. I was left stranded in a parking lot at night. Took back to dealership a
... gain and they said they needed to replace the body control module ($2640). Now 3 months later same issue (car won't start with steering wheel locked message) and dealership is now saying the steering lock needs to be replaced and in order to do that they have to replace the whole steering column!!! ($2900) I believe they have ripped me off because they failed to tell me all of these things when I first took the vehicle in, since the same message appeared each time I took it in!!! Reading the forums this issue has been ongoing since 2016 with this vehicle so why hasn't a recall been issued!!!!???? My vehicle is still not working and I believe Land Rover owe me some money or pay for the 3rd repair!!!!! This is definitely a safety issue because you never know when the vehicle will stop running. Out of no where without any warning, the vehicle will not start and you will be left stranded!!!!!Read more

I was driving on a secondary road that has a 45 MPH speed limit when the vehicle decelerated to 31 MPH on its own. I could not make it go faster with any application of the accelerator. Starting in about 2019, the exterior black panel behind the rear right mirror began peeling. Soon, the blue exterior paint on the car began to show damaged spots, lining up with the parts of the car most exposed to the sun: the roof most of all, but the top panel behind the rear window and the top o
... f the trunk showing signs of damage as well. The beginnings of this damage are also appearing on a couple of parts of the side doors, making it clear that the underlying problem applies to all of the blue exterior paint. It seems as if the exterior layer - some sort of sealant or finish - is not holding up properly in the sun. By contrast, our red-painted 2014 Prius, which has been exposed to the same conditions but for a longer period of time - shows none of this damage. The damage is quite extensive and visible, and it's unclear to what extent the protective qualities of the paint are now compromised. The service department at the dealership has inspected the paint, as has a third-party shop, and all agree that there is a serious paint problem. The issue is available for further inspection. The safety issue here is the potential for corrosion of the body due to the compromised paint integrity.Read more
