There are known issues with the control arms on these vehicles and I have had a clunk any time I hit the slightest bump or crack and it is especially bad when my wheels are turned. Both my control arms are loose and wheel baring is bad, plus a cracked catalytic converter. All of these are causing my car to be loud and burning smell, causing unsafe driving conditions for me and my children. Online states that the control arms are an issue with this vehicle make and model and ha
... ve been recalled, however my VIN has not been recalled and I want to report this. improperly welded joints can fatigue and break, causing the lower control arm to partially separate from the vehicle. This can lead to a sudden loss of steering control and increase the risk of a crash. I have not gotten in an accident, but was at risk of this happening. My car is being worked on and it will cost me $800 for these repairs for the issues related to the 2018 Chevy traxs. I would like this VIN to be recalled and receive a refund for the work done to my vehicle.Read more

The 2012-2015 Dodge Journey was previously subject to an NHTSA recall for an electronic stability control module defect producing similar ABS warning and brake-related symptoms. My 2022 BMW 530e is producing a loud, high-pitched noise whenever the heating or air conditioning system is operating, or when the engine reaches higher temperatures. Upon having the vehicle inspected, I was informed that the air conditioning compressor is failing, a known and documented issue with
... this model. The AC compressor in this vehicle is responsible not only for cooling the cabin, but also for regulating the temperature of the high-voltage battery. I was advised that immediate replacement is necessary to prevent potential battery overheating and to avoid further damage that could result from internal metal debris circulating through the system. The vehicle is available for inspection and has already been evaluated by two independent repair facilities, both of which provided repair estimates of approximately $5,000. Given the compressor’s critical role in maintaining proper battery and engine temperature, this defect presents a significant risk of further mechanical damage and raises legitimate safety concerns. Notably, there were no warning indicators prior to this issue, and although the heating and air conditioning systems continue to function, the underlying risk remains present. Because this is a known issue affecting this model and involves a component integral to both vehicle safety and battery protection, it should be addressed through a recall or manufacturer-supported repair program. The financial burden for correcting a known defect of this nature should not fall on the vehicle owner, and I am requesting that BMW assume full responsibility for the cost of repair.Read more

The infotainment display on my [2025/2026] Honda CR-V became stuck in an extremely dim state during daylight hours. While the menus, maps, and settings were nearly illegible, the backup camera continued to display at full, normal brightness when shifted into Reverse. I attempted a full system reboot
... (holding the power/volume knob) and adjusted the physical brightness dial on the instrument cluster, but the screen remained locked in the dim state. The system did not return to normal functionality until the vehicle was parked and shut off overnight. This indicates a deep software logic error that resists manual resets and only clears after a prolonged power-down cycle. This failure resulted in a significant safety hazard. The dimness rendered the navigation system unusable, causing extreme driver distraction as I had to take my eyes off the road to attempt to read the screen. The unpredictable nature of this glitch means it could recur at any time, potentially disabling access to critical vehicle safety information or navigation during transit. I performed a manual software reboot and cycled the ignition multiple times, yet the screen remained dim. The hardware clearly had the capacity for full brightness (as evidenced by the backup camera), but the software refused to restore daytime levels for any other function until the car performed a "deep sleep" cycle overnight.Read more

Approximately 14’000 miles we were told a rod went through the engine. Our vehicle failed at a high rate of speed leaving myself, wife, and 2 young children to pull off a major highway and call for police to help slow traffic. This happened while driving 70 mph on the highway. The only warning we
... received was when the car went from “D” drive to “N” neutral on the highway. Fortunately, we had enough time to pull to the side of the road before complete engine failure. GMC road side was not helpful. We were told we would have to find a ride home over an hour away, and when our ride arrived, so did the tow truck. Then, they had to drag the vehicle onto the flatbed because the tow truck company did not have the unlocking device for the wheels. Upon getting it to our house, the tow truck company had to rock our vehicle off the bed! We were not able to tow it where we purchased it. We either had to tow it to the nearest GM dealer or our house. We chose our house because the nearest GM dealer from where we broke down would've been over an hour away from our house. Our second engine failed 2200 miles later while my wife was sitting at a light in a busy intersection. The car again went from “D” to “N,” and it was immovable. The cops had to be called because the tow company couldn’t come fast enough. We were towed out of the intersection, but I waited over 5 hours with several dropped tows for a tow company. That occurred on my birthday. We are now on our third engine, and GMC wouldn’t warranty the engine. Our brand new tires went at 32,000 miles because GMC could not confirm or deny that rocking our vehicle on and off the flatbed three times didn’t affect the alignment. The front two tires inside tread was worn. I was told the tires from the factory are 50+ thousand mile tires. We barely got 32,000 miles. We’ve had multiple issues with electronics, back up camera, and media package. The Lemon Law won’t cover us because our first engine did not fail before 12,000 miles.Read more

I purchased the bike in Feb 2023 and the fuel gauge has gone bad. Problem is wide spread with this and I have seen and documented people having the same issue with the whole line of their bikes. I believe since this was part of the gas tank and the tank could possibly leak where the float sensor con

However, they have came back to me stating the bike is just out of warranty and refuse to cover the part. I tried speaking to them telling them that I called the dealer and they were really backed up and no able to take the bike in at the time (called in Oct of 2023) My 2 year warranty ended in December 23. However, at that time, I was told the bike is covered and not ending in December. However the shop still, up to this day, says that they are full on bikes atm and I would have to wait to bring it. "Sticky" steering is the problem. Not constant but now almost every time I drive the vehicle. Most of my driving is in town so some 30mph - 55mph roads. It happens at any speed in that range. Rather than the normal smooth steering, the steering wheel gets stuck, not like you can't control the vehicl
... e but little 1/8 to 1/4" spaces where you have to turn the wheel harder left or right to break the "hold" and sometimes back and forth in both directions it will just continue. It does make it difficult to stay in your center space of your lane without bebopping back and forth. I don't know for sure but a police officer might even suspect something is wrong with you if following from behind. No warning lights on dash. I brought the 2023 Civic into the dealer for recall 23-085 + the sticky steering I described. The service advisor told me they could not duplicate it, which I expected but the car was ready for me to pick up! She even told me a service manager with the most years of experience took it out and couldn't duplicate it. That was mildly impressive bringing in the veteran of the group but when I left with the car, I looked on the invoice and saw that Mileage in was 2218 and Mileage out was 2219. 1 mile (or less) to try to duplicate a problem, with steering? The way I came to this conclusion of the problem was by searching for on the internet and I found that it was already being looked into by the NHTSA. I even shared a link with the service provider before picking the car up hoping for some actual service and was told: "I fully understand the concern but if we cant duplicate it i cant just order a part and hope it fails when honda corporate gets the part for inspection we have to duplicate it to be sure we are ordering the part based on actual findings. If that happens, then Honda will make us take the part back and "own" it. I love my Honda dealership overall and the Service Advisor was great but I think her hands are tied. I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding a recurring issue with the rear camera system in my 2020 Ford Mustang. When attempting to engage the rear camera while reversing, a persistent blue screen obstructs the view, posing a significant safety hazard. After conducting thorough research,
... I have discovered that this problem is not isolated to my vehicle alone. Instead, it appears to be a widespread issue affecting numerous owners of Ford Mustangs. It has come to my attention that the root cause of this malfunction is attributed to faults within the wiring harness of the Mustang models. What is deeply concerning is that despite the prevalence of this issue and its potential implications for driver safety, Ford Motor Company has yet to initiate a recall to address and rectify the problem. It appears that there is a conscious decision to restrict the recall, leaving countless Mustang owners vulnerable to accidents and unnecessary risks. As a responsible consumer and advocate for road safety, I implore the NHTSA to investigate this matter urgently and compel Ford to take appropriate action. It is imperative that Ford acknowledges the severity of this defect and assumes responsibility by issuing a comprehensive recall to rectify the faulty wiring harnesses in all affected vehicles. Failure to address this issue promptly not only undermines consumer trust but also jeopardizes the well-being of drivers and pedestrians alike. I trust that the NHTSA will prioritize this complaint and take decisive steps to ensure the safety and welfare of all motorists. Thank you for your attention to this matter. I eagerly await your response and resolution.Read more

... hours. The next day my car started to run rough and the oil light came on as well with an error message reporting low oil pressure. I recently got an oil change done a week prior. I did take the car back to where I got the oil change. The company did not find any issues with the oil change but proceeded to change it anyway again. They advised me at that point to not drive the car till diagnosed at a dealership. At this point I have had the car towed to a local dealership. I am told over the phone that it may be due to a know issue with my car of a bad oil pump and could risk blowing the engine. I am awaiting further diagnosis after the holidays.Read more
