Tire size is 205 65R16 I purchased two Westlake Tires from Advanced Tire in Missouri from installation on my 2017 Toyota Camry LE. After installation, I experienced abnormal vibration and tire related concerns. On March 30, 2026, the Vehicle was inspected by Discount Tire. Discount Tire determin
... ed that one of the Westlake Tires was separating and unsafe for continued operation, Due to the safety concern, Discount Tire provided a loaner tire until replacement tires could be installed. Replacement tires were installed on March 31, 2026. Discount Tire documented that the tire was separating and unsafe. I retained possession of both Westlake Tires. The tire Manufacturer, Tireco (Westlake), was notified and provided photographs, purchase records, inspection documentation, and replacement invoices. Tireco later approved a partial reimbursement related to the tire claim. No warning lights were displayed on the vehicle. The primary symptoms were vibration and the unsafe condition identified during inspection. I am submitting this report because a tire that had been recently purchased was determined by an independent tire retailer to be separating and unsafe for operation. the defective tire remains available for inspection if requested.Read more

My 2019 BMW X3 equipped with a B46 engine developed a significant coolant leak at approximately 80,000 miles. The vehicle displayed a low coolant warning, and coolant was visibly leaking underneath the vehicle. Around the same time, I began noticing excessive white exhaust/steam during cold starts a
... nd, for the first time since owning the vehicle, had to add engine oil between scheduled oil changes. The vehicle is currently undergoing inspection by an independent repair facility. Preliminary findings indicate concerns involving premature failure of critical plastic cooling system and/or oil filter housing components. Based on my research, these failures appear consistent with widespread complaints involving BMW B46/B48 engine cooling system and oil filter housing defects. I am concerned this defect could lead to sudden coolant loss, overheating, engine failure, or unsafe driving conditions. Prior to the coolant warning appearing, there were no significant alerts indicating a major or imminent cooling system failure. The apparent failure of critical plastic engine cooling components under normal driving conditions raises serious concerns regarding the durability and safety of these parts. I have photographs documenting the coolant leak, as well as detailed notes and diagnostic information from the repair facility, available upon request. The vehicle is available for inspection.Read more

The VIN was provided and confirmed at the time the appointment was made; however, the recall was not co
... mpleted during the visit. The dealership replaced the purge valve without documenting diagnostic testing to confirm the cause or verify the repair. The vehicle was returned with the same check engine light still present. Additional issues were communicated through technician video and text, including a potential oil leak and possible fluid mixing, but none were documented or diagnosed in the service record. A dealership manager later stated that the vehicle was “not safe to drive,” but no written explanation or safety guidance was provided, and the vehicle was released without clarification. No diagnostic records, technician notes, or findings have been provided by either the dealership or GM despite escalation. The consumer has worked through appropriate dealership and manufacturer channels for approximately one month without resolution. The consumer is now being directed to return the vehicle for additional diagnostics at the consumer’s expense without defined scope or explanation. The vehicle remains with an unresolved condition and an open safety recall, without clear guidance regarding safe operation. This lack of clear, documented information is particularly concerning for senior-aged owners who rely on accurate guidance to make safe decisions.Read more

2021 Acura TLX A-Spec SH-AWD and my transmission is leaking from the seal between the transmission and the differential. Acura is not sure if they can cover it under warranty because I am slightly past the powertrain warranty even though they had my car about a week ago when it was just barely past
... that point and no one said anything about the leak on the transmission until I checked with a certified Acura mechanic somewhere else. This is not just some small problem because with fluid leaking and leaving it will eventually damage the transmission and the differential or even just make them completely give out. This can be gears grinding and overheating. It is not just a problem it is also a SAFETY HAZARD if this starts dripping onto the exhaust pipe or even on the road behind making traction a problem for someone behind. This needs to be under a recall not just warranty with how much I see this happening to these cars this is ridiculous we have to go through this.Read more

In 2022, my 2019 Acura TLX A-Spec received a warranty engine replacement due to a spun bearing. At that time, recall 23V-751 (connecting rod bearing defect) did not yet exist. Recently, the replacement engine developed a pronounced knocking/ticking noise at idle and during light acceleration. Multip
... le independent mechanics and an Acura service department confirmed the noise is abnormal and consistent with connecting rod bearing wear as described in the recall. Acura advised that my VIN is not included in the recall because the original engine was replaced. However, the replacement engine was supplied by Acura prior to the recall and may contain the same defective components. The dealership and Acura corporate did not inspect the internal components or verify whether the replacement engine used the revised bearing parts — they only referenced the VIN and engine number to deny recall eligibility. I currently have an open case with Acura, and the vehicle is scheduled for diagnostic inspection. I was informed that if the issue is determined to be related to recall 23V-751, diagnostic costs may be reimbursed, but there is no guarantee. This situation raises concern because my symptoms, timeline, and component failure are consistent with the known defect, yet my vehicle remains excluded from coverage. Given the safety implications of possible engine seizure or loss of power while driving, I am requesting that NHTSA review whether vehicles with Acura-supplied replacement engines should also fall under recall 23V-751. All service records and warranty history with Acura are available for review upon request.Read more

I purchased Tiguan SE on July 2, 2025 and 6 days later with about 200 miles on vehicle, check engine light appeared with message ‘fuel system error.’ I was very disappointed that such a new vehicle reported an error on a critical system. Dealership had trouble identifying source of light and a
... dvice of VW technical advice was advised to replace entire fuel tank. This clearly sounds like a manufacture defect and I would like to know if other Tiguan owners have experienced similar issues. Given that VW has a history of defrauding consumers over diesel fuel systems, could this be another fuel problem. So far, upon contacting manufacturer they have brushed aside concerns stating it’s covered warranty and not acknowledging diminution of value that such an early defect could have on the resale/economic value of this car.Read more

Hello, My VIN is [XXX] and I have a 2014 Jeep Compass Latitude. I took my vehicle into the Jeep Dealership on Val Vista and Williamsfield Rd to have my airbag recall serviced. I picked up my vehicle and the airbag light was still on, I didn't think too much about it since it could have not be
... en related to the airbag recall. However, I was later informed by pep boys and another mechanic that the airbag recall was not replaced. I was also informed on the phone by a dealership service man they did not have the part to replace the airbag and it did not get fixed even though they stated on the paperwork and when I picked it up that the airbag recall was serviced and the airbag was functioning properly, I have contacted the attorney general and the dealership regarding this issue and the dealership is claiming im incorrect and they serviced my air bag and asked me to bring the car in to reset the airbag light and see if there is something else going on with the airbag. The airbag recall part that was supposed to be replaced is the original manufactured airbag from 2013. I trusted the dealership on their word that the airbag was working and they let me drive around like that with my family while they cashed the 2500 check and did nothing with the airbag recall replacement. I am concerned about the actions of the dealership for my families safety as well as other families safety when they take their car to this dealership to get their recall's serviced. I would like to fix the problem with my airbag without having to take it to this specific dealership and would like to let others know so we can avoid any injuries or anything serious happening as a result of this dealership not actually fixing their safety recalls. Please let me know if you would like me to submit pictures for the information I provided. I have had 2 separate incidents with this tow bar system. Both resulted in catastrophic failure of the equipment. In Oct. 2024 while traveling in Atlanta Ga. a retaining pin came out of the tow bar on one side and resulted in the tow vehicle becoming uncontrollable. I convinced myself this was opera
... tor error. Since then, I replaced the damaged tow bar with the equivalent tow bar from Etrailer. Again on Fri [XXX] the same thing happened again with a lost pin resulting in uncontrollable vehicle while travelling through Shreveport La. I firmly believe that this tow bar system has some design flaws that allows the retaining pins to dislodge while experiencing rough road conditions. This system is designed to flat tow a vehicle behind an RV. The RV in question is a 2024 Jayco Seneca rated to tow up to 10,000lbs. The vehicle being towed is a 2021 Jeep Wrangler with an estimated weight of 4,500lbs. The tow bar system mentioned above is rated up to 6,000lbs. I have contacted Etrailer and they have offered a refund. I think this system needs to be reevaluated for its safety designs. After driving approx 400 miles at freeway speeds the engine shuts off. With semis honking as vehicle slowed while trying to pull over. No warning lights before or after stopping. Dash screen displayed "put car in park and press start". This happened twice in 2023. Took to dealer while car was u
... nder extended warranty. Was told 'could not duplicate' issue. They also informed me that this was something they never heard of before. We only do two highway trips per year. Took another trip couple of weeks age and vehicle shut off and we had to pull over 7 times going and returning. Dealer says I need a new transmission but can't guarantee that will fix the problem. I'm terrified to put this car on the freeway again. I thought we were going to be killed and possibly injure others on several of the occasions while trying to stop safely. I feel that Chrysler knows about this problem (from what I've recently read on the internet) and at least should know how to correct it. Also, it seems there was a class action suit that has been settled that we were unaware of. This vehicle has less than 60K miles and as we only drive 5-7000 miles per year didn't plan on having to junk it and buy another at this time. I've tried calling Chrysler Corp 800-992-1997. I was given a case # but they just seem to lie and never follow up with the dealer like they said. Now when I call and talk to someone, they put me on hold and kick me into the 'how did we do survey'.
