FAILURE OF WINDSHIELD WIPERS. FIRST THEY WOULD ONLY WORK IF IT WASN'T RAINING (CLEANING WINDSHIELD), NOW THEY HAVE STOPPED ALL TOGETHER. THE TRANSMISSION IN THIS VAN WAS COMPLETELY REBUILT BY A REPUTABLE TRANSMISSION REBUILDER WHO IS REGISTERED WITH THE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION REBUILDERS ASSOCIATION IN OCTOBER 2002. A THROTTLE PROBLEM OCCURRED SHORTLY AFTER THE TRANSMISSION WAS REBUILT, AND THE PROBLEM WAS FIXED UNDER WARRANTY. WHEN THE TIRE FLEW OFF THE VAN SLAMMED DOWN INTO THE STREET WITH GREAT FORCE. THE IMPACT OF THE WHEEL FLYING OFF AS WELL AS THE VAN SLAMMING INTO THE STREET CAUSED THE ENTIRE SIDE PANEL OF THE RIGHT FRONT SIDE OF THE VAN FROM THE DOOR TO THE HEADLIGHT TO SHATTER ALL OVER THE STREET. THE VAN WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER WHICH IS WAS PURCHASED FROM 30 DAYS EARLIER AND WE WERE TOLD BY THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT THAT THERE WAS A "DEFECT IN THE LUG NUTS" WHICH CAUSED THE WHEEL TO FLY OFF. I FIND IT INTERESTING THAT THE LOCAL DEALER, NOT ONLY HAD THIS COOLANT HOSE CONNECTOR, IN STOCK, BUT ALSO THAT THE PART, WHICH WAS MADE OF PLASTIC ORIGINALLY, IS NOW MADE OF A HEAVY METAL.
