FRAM RACING HP4 AND HP8 OIL FILTERS NOT BEARING A DATE CODE IN THIS RANGE ARE NOT AFFECTED BY THIS RECALL. THE GASKET OF THE OIL FILTER BECOMES MORE PLIABLE UNDER HIGH TEMPERATURES AND PRESSURES.

REPLACED MASTER CYLINDER AND STILL SPONGY BRAKES. DEALER SAID THIS IS NORMAL. THEY STILL DO NOT GRIP AS STRONG DESPITE ALL BRAKE COMPONENTS REPLACED EXCEPT FOR THE VACCUME BOOSTER AND ABS MODULE. I ALSO NO LONGER HEAR THE ABS MODULE COME ON LIKE IT USED TO BEFORE ALL OF THIS, THE ABS LIGHT DOES COME ON AND GOES OUT AFTER STARTING VAN. THE OWNERS MANUAL STATES YOU SHOULD HEAR THE ABS PUMP COME ON WHEN STARTING VAN THEN COME ON AGAIN AT ABOUT 7MPH. IT DOES NOT. TOLD DEALER THIS AND THEY SAID THE MANUAL IS WRONG AND THAT THE BRAKES ARE FINE. YEAH, RIGHT. WHEN GOING 55 MPH DOWN HILL VAN WOULD NOT SLOW DOWN UNLESS I HOLD THE BRAKE PEDAL ALMOST ALL THE WAY DOWN OR USE THE EMERGENCY BRAKE AND COME TO A VERY FAST STOP.
