Consequence
Rear wheel lock-up or moving in an unintended direction can increase the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Dealers will update the transmission control module software calibration, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed December 9, 2024. Ford put out an update at the end of April 2025 that inhibited ALL advanced driver assistance systems from working. I took my escape to the dealership twice in May and June and it’s not fixed. I called ford and they promised an update in July but it’s still not out to fix their mistake.
