I am writing regarding my 2026 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray 1LT and a very serious safety incident that occurred while driving on the Garden State Parkway. While driving at highway speed under normal conditions, my Corvette suddenly jerked and completely shut off without warning. The vehicle immedia
... tely lost power and became undrivable. Because there was no emergency shoulder available, I had no safe place to pull over. I was forced to coast for approximately one to two miles at very low speed while surrounded by fast moving traffic. This created an extremely dangerous situation, and I narrowly avoided multiple collisions before I was finally able to reach the side of an exit ramp. After stopping, I exited the vehicle and noticed smoke coming from the engine compartment. When I looked underneath the vehicle, there was a large pool of engine oil leaking onto the ground, and I believe I also saw oil on the side of the engine. The car had to be towed, and I was stranded on the side of the highway for hours. I also had to pay around $750 in towing expenses that I had to pay out of pocket. This incident was especially concerning because the vehicle has had multiple problems since I purchased it. These include a bracket rubbing against other components and causing damage, the air conditioning not functioning properly, and an unusually loud belt noise while driving. I purchased this vehicle brand new with the expectation that it would be reliable and safe. Instead, I have experienced repeated issues, culminating in an incident that placed my safety at high risk. I am requesting that General Motors and the dealership thoroughly investigate this vehicle and provide an appropriate resolution. Given the repeated defects and the severity of this highway failure, I am requesting an exchange for another new Corvette. I have several friends who own 2025 and earlier Corvette models and have not experienced these types of issues, which further reinforces my concerns.Read more

On XXX, at approximately 2:20 PM, while driving about 30 mph on a suburban road in [XXX], a red battery warning light appeared on the main instrument cluster. I pulled over and contacted Hyundai support. When I attempted to resume driving, the vehicle accelerated sluggishly with noticeably reduced p

While I was on the phone with Hyundai roadside assistance, a red ‘Stop vehicle and check power supply’ warning message appeared on the dash, and the vehicle completely lost power several minutes later, becoming inoperable. It had to be towed to a Hyundai dealership. Weather was clear and road conditions were normal. There was no crash, fire, or injury. The vehicle had approximately 3,770 miles at the time of failure. As of this report, the dealer has not yet completed diagnosis. The symptoms are consistent with the integrated charging control unit (ICCU) failure pattern widely reported in Hyundai EVs, but this has not yet been confirmed. I am reporting a failure of the Steering Column Control Module (SCCM) in my 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L Overland. The failure is manifesting as an error message saying "service transmission" and the code that it is throwing says that the paddle shifters are overheating. This component is identical to
... the modules currently under Safety Recall 36B (NHTSA 24V-199) and Equipment Recall 15B (NHTSA 24E-025). The manufacturer has admitted that these modules possess an internal weld defect that prevents the driver’s side airbag from deploying in the event of a crash. Despite the clear safety risk and the fact that this model year/body style (WL) is the primary population for this defect, the manufacturer (Stellantis/Jeep) refuses to cover the repair, stating my specific VIN is not "flagged" in their internal database. I am concerned that the scope of the existing recalls is too narrow and that my vehicle is currently being operated with a non-functional or unreliable driver's airbag system due to this known hardware defect. I am requesting an investigation into why 2021 Grand Cherokee L models with these exact symptoms are being excluded from the safety remedy.Read more

A bike rack that I purchased from 1UP USA in February of 2025, failed while attached to my car and carrying 2 ebikes. The incident occurred on Monday, October 13th, 2025. While driving home the bike rack disengaged and fell backwards, causing the bike rack to hit the road. I was driving on a 2 lane
... road with traffic approaching me and behind me. There was no place to pull off the road. Myself and my passenger exited the car at great risk to ourselves to upright the bike rack. The traffic going both ways was at risk, as the traffic had to stop suddenly to avoid hitting us or my car.The ebikes were still attached to the bike rack. I drove home very slowly, using backroads in the event that this happened again. I followed all directions per the website on how to mount the bikes and what safety procedures needed to be followed. Prior to this date, there were no problems with this bike rack. I contacted 1UP USA on October15th, providing them with the narrative, and photos of the damage to the bike rack. One of the arms of the rack is bent and damaged, the EZ pull handle that hit the road is damaged and not usable, and the part of the rack that caused this failure is damaged as well; a bar that should lock into sprockets to prevent this type of failure. 1UP USA initially refused to replace any part of the bike rack. Subsequently, they did say they would replace ONLY the EZ pull handle. They are adamant that they will not replace the entire rack. Their website states they have a lifetime warranty on their products. This failure was caused by the EZ pull handle not engaging properly. I took all necessary safety precautions with this rack, and my passenger witnessed me doing this. In addition, the day before the ride, October 12th, I did a comprehensive safety check of the bike rack, which I do before every time I use it. I noted a missing washer and bolt, and purchased these at Ace Hardware and replaced the missing parts. I submitted a receipt from Ace.Read more

Description of Issue: We have experienced multiple episodes of violent shaking in our 2024 Toyota Grand Highlander while stopped at red lights or in intersections. Both my wife and I have had this happen independently, around two to three times each. Most incidents occurred while our young children
... were in the vehicle. The most recent incident occurred today, when my wife experienced it twice in a row while stopped at an intersection. Our children were not in the vehicle during today’s event. Component or system involved: UNKNOWN at this time. We suspect a major mechanical or drivetrain-related failure. The entire vehicle shakes violently and feels unstable. We are willing to make the vehicle available for inspection upon request. Safety risk: The severity of the shaking is extreme and it feels as though the car may explode or fall apart. We have had to put the car in park, shut it off immediately, and in some cases, exit the vehicle in the middle of intersections or while stopped at a red light. This places everyone in the vehicle at serious risk, especially our children, and could result in a crash or secondary accident due to the abrupt stop and unexpected behavior in active traffic. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or service center? The issue has not yet been reproduced by the dealership. We brought the vehicle to Toyota of Escondido after a previous incident. They inspected it but stated they could not find anything wrong. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by others? The vehicle was only inspected by the dealership (Toyota of Escondido). It has not been reviewed by any other parties such as law enforcement or insurance representatives. Warning lamps, messages, or other symptoms prior to the issue: There were no warning lights, error messages, or abnormal behavior prior to the onset of the violent shaking. The issue occurred suddenly each time, without warning.Read more

10 months ago, I took my vehicle in to the local chevy dealership because the check engine light was on and I had noticed the vehicle seemed to be running rough. I had also seen a message that said the vehicle was running at reduced propulsion. The dealership told me I had a shorted EGR valve which
... also cause fuse 3 to blow and ordered the part. Then I waited. My vehicle stopped running on the road once. Just died. I had no battery charge remaining either. That was a safety issue for me and anyone who might hit my car because it was on the road. I sat there for a while and then tried to start it. I wasn't far from home and was able to limp home. I waited for months, contacted the Chevy/GM manufacturer and kept in contact with the dealership. Over the next 10 months was told several different things: part not being made, strike affected part manufacture, part and install price was increasing to $3500, can install Chinese part without warranty, dealership had 2 other people waiting for the part like me, part was not covered under any warranty. I was called a couple days ago to hear that there was a GM manufactured part available for my car but it would be $3500. I asked for a reduction in cost since I had waited so long. I was told they could reduce the price by $500. I said I had been quoted $1200 in 2023 when I took the vehicle in. I was told to share anything I had in writing for that. I found my invoice which showed the purchase cost for the parts ($717.80) which I just sent. I received a call today telling me the dealership has the part and will give it to someone else unless I agree to get it done today for $3500; however, since I did not know the part was even here for me, they will wait one more day to hear if the manufacturer will honor the original quote. For the last 10 months, I had no car to drive or could drive it on battery and hope I didn't run out of charge (~50 miles of battery charge) and get stranded on the road again.Read more

I didn’t feel well throughout the weekend, went to my Dr. Monday March 20, 2023. I had a very bad headache, short of breath, nausea, just feeling really bad and run down.
