IN OCTOBER 2016 MY 2006 CHEVROLET AVEO LS HATCHBACK'S BATTERY DIED, UNABLE TO JUMPSTART ANYMORE. I REPLACED THE BATTERY AND THE AIRBAG LIGHT ON THE DASH HAS ILLUMINATED SOLID SINCE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT IN AN ACCIDENT. THE GM DEALERSHIP I TOOK IT TOO WASN'T ABLE TO DETERMINE THE CAUSE. THE VEHICLE HAD 130,000 MILES AT THE TIME THE BATTERY DIED AND THE AIRBAG LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THIS CAR HAS A DEFECTIVE THROTTLE BODY AND IAC(IDLE CONTROL ASSEMBLY) .I HAVE TO TRY TO CRANK IT 7-8 TIME BEFORE IT WILL STAY RUNNING.I AM PHYSICALLY DISABLED AND ON A FIXED INCOME ,THEY TOLD ME THAT IT WILL COST $1000 TO $1500 TO FIX THIS CAR WHICH THERE IS NO WAY I CAN PAY THIS LARGE AMOUNT. I BELIEVE THAT CHEVORLET SHOULD DO THE RIGHT THING AND PUT THERE DEFECT ON THE RECALL LIST.
DASH AND SHIFTER LIGHTS WENT OUT AND CAME BACK ON AND EVENTUALLY WENT OUT COMPLETELY- WOULD NOT COME ON UPON STARTUP. SOME FRONT AND REAR LIGHTS AS WELL. BLINKERS & FLASHERS STILL WORK. HAVE CHECKED ALL FUSES AND BULBS. NEEDS ELECTRICAL REPAIR.
