THE UPPER TRANSAXLE OIL COOLER HOSE CAN PULL OUT OF THE CRIMPED COUPLING AT THE TRANSAXLE END OF THE LINE ASSEMBLY.
Remedy: DEALERS WILL INSTALL A NEW UPPER TRANSAXLE OIL COOLER LINE TO THE TRANSAXLE.

THE ENGINE FELL OUT THE ENGINE CRADDLE BROKE LOSE FROM THE FRAME IT RUSTED THROUGH THE REST OF THE CAR HAS NO RUST AND IS IN PERFECT CONDITION.THANK GOD I HAD JUST GOTTON OF THE HIGHWAY AND IT HAPPENED STPPED AT THE STOP SIGN.DO I HAVE ANY RECOURSE .

PURCHASED 2003 CADILLAC DHS FROM COAST CADILLAC, THE NEXT MONTH WE HAD TO GET A NEW ENGINE FROM RANCHO MOTORS. LESS THAN A YEAR AFTER THAT WE HAD TO GET A NEW COMPUTER. MY HUSBAND HAD A CAR ACCIDENT ON JULY 4, 2009 WHERE HE HIT ANOTHER VEHICLE, AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. AAA ADJUSTER CAME TO DIAMOND CAR COLLISION IN HESPERIA AND STATED THE CAR WAS NOT TOTALED. I REQUESTED A SECOND OPINION AND THEY SAID THEY COULD NOT TOTAL THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS IN AN ACCIDENT IN 2007 WHERE IT WAS REAR ENDED AND SUSTAINED MAJOR DAMAGE. NOW THE SENSOR IS NOT SENDING A SIGNAL TO ENGINE COOLING FAN AND THE CAR RUNS HOT. NOONE HAS BEEN ABLE TO FIND THE PROBLEM. IN THE LAST 3 MONTHS WE SMELL A STRONG SCENT OF FUEL OR FUMES. THE RIGHT PASSENGER DOOR LOCK HAS PROBLEMS. THE WINDOWS HAVE BEEN REPAIRED ON NUMERIOUS OCCASIONS. WE HAD TO FIX THE TRANSMISSION TWICE AND THE MOTOR MOUNT IS NOT LEVELED PROPERLY FROM REPAIRS OF JULY 4, 2009. GAS MILEAGE INDICATOR DOES NOT WORK PROPERLY. I WILL BE REPORTING THIS TO DEPT OF AUTOMOTIVE REPAIRS AND FILING A COMPLAIT AGAINST AAA INSURANCE. THEY REPAIRED THE VEHIICLE TWICE AND KNEW OF THE SAFETY PROBLEMS WITH AIRBAGS YET WERE NOT WILLING TO TOTAL CAR. WE HAVE HAD NOTHING BUT ONGOING PROPLEMS SINCE WE PURCHASED VEHICVLE AND ACCIDENTS THAT OCCURED. MY HUSBAND WAS NOT AT FAULT BUT WE SUSTAINED INURIES DURING THE ACCIDENT. ALSO DEPT OF AUTOMOTIVE REPAIR WANTED TO COME INSPECT BUT OWNER TALKED MY HUSBAND INTO DROPPING THE CLAIM I REPORTED AND TOLD HIM HE WOULD DO EXTRA WORK IF HE DIDNT CALL. TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 1993 CADILLAC DEVILLE. THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN BURNING AND LEAKING A LARGE AMOUNT OF OIL. THE CONTACT ALWAYS NOTICED OIL SPOTS ON THE GROUND AFTER THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED. IF THE VEHICLE IS DRIVEN FOR A WHILE, SMOKE WILL APPEAR FROM THE BOTTOM OF THE VEHICLE, RATHER THAN THE HOOD. THE FAILURE HAS ALSO CAUSED THE AIR CONDITIONER TO STOP WORKING. A WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED AND READ, "STOP.TURN OFF ENGINE". A MECHANIC INSPECTED THE VEHICLE AND STATED THAT THE OIL WAS COMING FROM A LINE UNDERNEATH THE VEHICLE FROM AN UNSPECIFIED HOSE. THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER 94V199000 (POWER TRAIN:AXLE ASSEMBLY), ALTHOUGH THE FAILURES WERE IDENTICAL. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 85,000 AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 91,000.

I KNOW THAT THIS VEHICLE IS MORE THAN 10 YEAR OLD, BUT I STILL BELIEVE A GLAIRING AND SIGNIFICANT SAFETY ISSUE EXISTS WITH THIS MODEL AND THAT ISSUE IS: *AK WHEN THERE IS 3 GALLONS OR LESS OF GASOLINE IN THE FUEL TANK, AS INDICATED BY THE DIGITAL FUEL METER, ANY LONG SWEEPING TURN (ESPECIALLY TO THE RIGHT) WILL CAUSE THE MOTOR TO UNEXPECTEDLY STOP DUE TO FUEL STARVATION. WHEN THE MOTOR STOPS, THE POWER STEERING ALSO STOPS FUNCTIONING AND THE RESULT CAN BE LOSS OF CONTROL BY THE DRIVER OR AN ACCIDENT DUE TO PANIC. THERE EXISTS A DESIGN FLAW IN THE CADILLAC DEVILLE'S. MINE IS A 1993 MODEL BUT I HAVE BEEN TOLD BY THE DEALER THAT IT IS A CONSISTENT FLAW WITHIN THE DEVILLE LINE. IT REQUIRES THE REPLACEMENT OF THE OIL PAN, OIL GASKETS, AND OIL SEALS ANYWHERE FROM 2 TO 3 YEARS. I HAD MINE REPLACED FIVE TIMES IN TEN YEARS. BESIDES THE COST, THE POTENTIAL FOR DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE AND POSSIBILITY FOR THE CAR TO CREATE DAMAGE TO OTHERS IS BEYOND MEASURE. CADILLAC HAS BEEN CONTACTED AND DOES NOTHING ABOUT THE RECALL BECAUSE THEY DO NOT CONSIDER IT A SAFETY DEFECT. THEY KEEP CHANGING THE DESIGN OF THE OIL PAN AND GASKETS BUT TO NO AVAIL. MY NAME IS ANNE AVIS. I AM REPORTING THIS DEFECT FOR AN ELDERLY FRIEND WHO PURCHASED THE CAR IN QUESTION. SHE HAS HAD TO REPLACE THE BATTERY 8 TIMES. THE CAR WAS A DEMO WITH 6,444 SHE NOW HAS 16,000. SHE HAS TAKEN IT IN NUMEROUS TIMES TO MICHAEL CADILLAC AND EACH TIME THEY SEND HER HOME SAYING THEY CAN NOT FIND ANYTHING WRONG, YET SHE IS STILL GETTING STUCK. THE FIRST TIME SHE TOOK IT IN WAS 1 MONTH AFTER SHE BOUGHT IT. THE WARRANTY IS NO LONGER VALID OF COURSE. BUT IT WASN'T WHEN SHE TOOK IT IN FOR THE NUMEROUS REPAIRS IN THE PAST WITH NO SATISFACTION. PLEASE HELP HER!!!

WHEN WE PURCHASED THE CAR, WHILE STILL UNDER WARRANTY, THE HEAT DID NOT COME ON UNTIL THE TEMPERATURE WAS SET TO MAXIMUM AND THEN THE RESULT WAS LUKEWARM AT BEST. IT TOOK CONSIDERABLE SEARCHING FOR THE DEALER TO FIND THE PROBLEM, AND NOW IT HAS APPEARED AGAIN. IN ADDITION, THE AIR CONDITIONER SENSOR DOES NOT ALERT THE AIR CONDITIONER TO COME ON.
