A 2024 Genesis G70 with 10,860 miles suffered a severe multi-system safety failure. While driving at highway speeds, the vehicle executed unexpected, unprompted automatic emergency braking (phantom braking) X2 with no forward threats present, creating an immediate highway collision hazard. Prior to this, the forward-facing cabin multifunction camera assembly near the rearview mirror experienced an
... electrical short and thermal runaway event, reaching a recorded surface temperature of 363°F and causing occupant blister burns to fingers. The failure caused a total collapse of the ADAS sensor grid, shutting off the Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keeping systems, HDA, etc. Additionally, the vehicle exhibits a severe rear differential/driveline humming, a drastic drop in fuel economy to 10.3 MPG, an A/C condensation line blockage flooding the lower undercover, and a replacement headlight housing with a dangerous 25-foot dead spot. Werner Hyundai looked at the vehicle which was 3 days days without resolution, and it has now been flatbedded to Jenkins Genesis of Ocala. The vehicle remains an unresolved, dangerous safety defect. This has been 39 days since this started. I have been trying to get Genesis Corporate to help me in this and it has been 40 days tomorrow with no avail.Read more

Incident date: May 28, 2026
The vehicle experienced a sudden and total loss of transmission engagement and motive power while driving at highway speeds due to a Transmission Control Module (TCM) failure. The vehicle unexpectedly dropped out of gear into a 'no-power' state, creating an immediate traffic hazard and nearly causing a rear-end collision. The vehicle is hardly functioning at any speed, drops all power then jerks
... into a higher gear. The vehicle is cutting off in traffic and cannot be started unless a transmission reset is done. The vehicle has lost all reverse causing hazards if reverse is needed. The nearest auto parts diagnosed a failed TCM and clutch but dealership and Ford refuses to replace it because Ford excluded 2017 models from "Customer Satisfaction Program 14M02", despite using the identical defective transmission hardware as the recalled 2012-2016 models.Read more

Moonroof exploded while driving 55 mph. I took pictures. It was completely distracting while driving and a very scary incident. Searching online provided a class action lawsuit against Honda for this issue. We have not been able to get it looked at due to it being the weekend and the service department is not open. No police were called. Insurance claim started. No warning before it happened.
Incident date: May 27, 2026
The vehicles windshield may not be sealed properly or have moisture that builds up between the pressed glass causing reduced visibility and higher risk for crash obstructing the view of both passenger and most importantly the driver.

My steering is sticking while driving on the highway while the engine is warm and going over 45 mph. We are seniors and generally only drive locally. This is a grave safety issue and has been happening for a while. I am aware that later year Civics have this similar issue and there’s a recall for the expensive steering box but not for ours.
Incident date: Oct 31, 2025
Vehicle is currently part of the open recall for reverse camera not functioning or not displaying properly. Problem was present long before the issued recall in 2025. No communication from manufacturer on timeline to remedy issue. Manufacturer has not delivered on making parts available and issue persists. This is unacceptable.

While driving at a speed just under 45 mph, my Mazda CX-70 suddenly displayed and chimed “Hybrid System Malfunction. Have Vehicle Inspected.“. This warning startled me because I am familiar with issues since I had briefly owned a CX-90 PHEV the first year this model came out and it had the same exact problem. I discovered that this issue carries serious safety concerns and ended up convincing
... the dealer to swap the vehicle for a CX-90 inline 6 gas only model after hours of pleading. I ended up signing up for another lease a couple of years later with this current CX-70 PHEV, as I was told that the “bugs” have pretty much been worked out so I would give it another try. This warning continued to stay on as I drove for a few minutes so I immediately took the car straight to the Mazda dealership service department where it was kept 24 hours. The dealer said that the issue resolved itself - something to do with not driving the vehicle interchangeably enough between gas and EV mode. The photo was taken once I slowed down to stop at an intersection since it took me 15 minutes to drive to the dealer.Read more

I was driving down an empty two lane road the truck went from 9th to 10th gear. As it went into 10th the transmission shifted hard and then locked up. This caused my rear wheels to lock up and I skid off the road. Eventually it shifted back down into a lower gear where I could slowly drive into a safe place. I called for a tow and had it towed into the dealer where it’s at right now. I was lucky
... the road was empty and didn’t hit anything or anyone. But the transmission had been shifting bad for awhile but not to that extent. Note this truck has just hit 60000 miles.Read more

2019 Ford Escape with a documented history of powertrain failures. White smoke on cold start and engine stalling began around 48,000 miles; the dealer noted this engine is known for coolant intrusion. At about 62,000 miles the engine short block was replaced under Ford Field Service Action 21N12 / TSB 22-2322. Smoke, shaking, and stalling continued, and the engine intermittently cuts out when shif
... ting into reverse and must be restarted. At about 87,000 miles the transmission failed and the full transmission assembly was replaced (work order Jan 2026, vehicle returned end of March 2026). The owner repeatedly told the Ford dealer the vehicle felt unsafe. On [XXX] the owner reported renewed exhaust smoke, an illuminated engine light, and a clicking sound at startup and asked to bring it in; instead of inspecting it, the dealer advised taking the vehicle straight to CarMax. About 9 days later, on [XXX], while driving in Los Angeles about 60 miles from home with young children aboard, the transmission would not stay in gear and the engine warning lights began blinking. The owner called the Ford dealership for guidance but no one could advise and the service desk would not answer. After consulting a mechanic, the family agreed it was unsafe to keep driving given the noises and pulled over in Anaheim, about 30 miles from home, at a mechanic shop to read the codes. A paid tow (~$600) was required. Loss of gear engagement and stalling in traffic with children aboard is a serious crash and stranding hazard. The scan returned codes P0012 and P0014 (camshaft timing, stored as permanent), P0300 (random/multiple misfire), and P0301, P0302, P0304 (cylinder misfires); the dash showed "Auto Start/Stop not ready - Stall Alert - Restart Engine." The defect has been reproduced and confirmed repeatedly by the Ford dealer, which performed the engine and transmission replacements. A repurchase request was denied. This is my son's vehicle, purchased by me in January 2025. He attends a college 110 miles from home in PA. As the warmer/hot weather came along in 2025, he was experiencing random scary situations of the car just going into "limp mode" while driving 70 - 75 mph on [XXX]. No warning indicators, no dash lights. No acceleration, couldn't maintain speed, bogged down to 15 mph until he pulled over and
... turned off the car. It scared him of course, but sadly this became his summertime travel ritual when traveling to and from college. Every trip in 87°< temperatures, a 2-3 time limp mode was in store. I realized in June of 2025 that this problem doesn't throw any DTCs when it happens and because sometimes he didn't wait long enough to clear the limp mode, I had him disconnecting the negative battery cable then reattaching it in order to clear the resident memory to get him going right away. I went a step further and installed gate switch on the negative battery post so he could just lift the hood, break the circuit with the gate arm and put it back down. I write this today because the car's 1st episodes for 2026 was on a similar mileage trip home, however it was only 82°. The CVT fluid has been changed, the level is correct and his driving habits appear to be in line with GPS ETAs vs. his actual arrival times. I went down the rabbit hole regarding the 2013 Kizashi TCM recall and I truly believe the defective TCMs they found have been around for some time before the 2013 Model year. He loves his car, but the car is putting him at risk as well as the driving public around him EVERY TIME THIS HAPPENS. Beginning March 2025, the low engine oil warning light began activating repeatedly, sometimes after as few as 300 miles. AutoNation Audi Bellevue confirmed 1 quart low and initiated oil consumption tests. Their technician noted in writing that oil found
... externally was "not enough to cause a 1 quart low oil light" — meaning the root cause was never identified. A PCV valve replacement was attempted July 2025; the warning returned after only 300 miles — same as before the fix. Audi of America approved a full engine replacement in September 2025, completed December 2025. Within weeks of pickup in January 2026, the low oil warning activated again on the brand new engine, and again after 4,000 miles in April 2026. The defect has persisted across two engines despite multiple repair attempts. Audi now claims consumption is "within spec" at 0.16 qt/1,000 miles but has not explained why the warning light keeps activating. Safety risk: unpredictable oil loss risks sudden engine seizure at highway speeds with insufficient warning to stop safely. Confirmed and inspected by AutoNation Audi Bellevue and Audi of America. Vehicle available for inspection. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)Read more

My steering is a big issue. Yes it is available for inspection if only someone would actually listen and want to truly inspect my complaint. I have a 2024 honda accord ex with just over 18000 miles. I just got the car when it had 16390 miles , just bought it last month. The following day after purchase I went to work which requires me traveling on the interstate and I noticed it right away.. It d
... oesnt know how to drive straight even when my hands are gripping the wheel with all i have in order to go straight while going 70 miles an hour. Any little adjustment i make, seems to over correct itself and any little change in pavement or uneven lanes or a small rock in the road will completely make my car bounce left and right im like a giant pingpong. Trust me EVERYDAY i am on the road i will look around and no cars will be near cause they are all trailing behind me afraid to pass me due to the inconsistent insane destructive driving of my car not me. Little due they know by now my hands are numb and im absolutely exhausted from gripping my steering wheel to prevent suddenly driving into the car beside me. Safety hazard is putting it nice. Its a death sentence that is insane to pay out of pocket for every month to have to endure what me and sooo many others are having to go through due to the negligence of another is pitiful and unacceptable.Shame on Honda for doing this to people who trusted and believed in you. In all honesty I pray that something is done immediately about this.Read more

While driving to work, the rear driver-side window suddenly fell down into the door without warning. The power window/regulator system appears to have failed. The window would not stay up or operate normally afterward. The failed component is available for inspection upon request. This created a safety concern because the vehicle could not be secured, outside air/noise entered the vehicle while d
... riving, and rain/debris could enter the passenger compartment. It also created a distraction while driving because the sudden window drop was unexpected. There were no warning lights, dashboard messages, or prior symptoms before the failure. The issue has not yet been confirmed by a dealer or independent repair shop. The vehicle/component has not yet been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance, or others. The suspected failed component is the rear driver-side power window regulator or related window mechanism. Cause is unknown.Read more

Vehicle: 2024 Chevrolet Tahoe RST The backup camera and HD Surround Vision system on my 2024 Chevrolet Tahoe have experienced repeated failures despite multiple repair attempts by an authorized Chevrolet dealership. The failure presents as a black screen displaying a red warning triangle and a crossed-out camera icon when the vehicle is placed in reverse or when camera views are selected. The pa
... rking sensors continue to function, but no camera image is available. The vehicle was first repaired in July 2025 (6705 miles) after the dealership diagnosed heat damage to the rear camera coaxial cable located in the liftgate area. The cable was replaced, and the vehicle was returned to service. The camera system failed again the same day. The vehicle was subsequently returned to the dealership, where the liftgate harness was replaced in Aug 2025. Following the repair, the camera system operated normally for a period of time before the same failure condition returned. At approximately 16,500 miles (May 2026), the backup camera and HD Surround Vision system have again become inoperative. This represents at least the third occurrence of the same issue despite prior repairs involving replacement of camera-related wiring components. The loss of the backup camera and surround vision system significantly reduces rearward visibility while backing, parking, and maneuvering the vehicle. Because the condition is intermittent and recurring, the driver cannot reliably depend on the camera system to function when needed. I am submitting this complaint because the issue has recurred multiple times after repair attempts and may indicate a broader defect affecting the vehicle's camera system.Read more

My vehicle lost power and accelerated quickly yet unpredictably, and the check engine light came on. A local shop told me it was "an old code" for the transmission and that if it does that again to take it to dealer. It occurred again. Kia dealer states this vehicle has a recall and has been repaired twice, but that they will not repair it again. This is such an unsafe issue they will not allow me

2023 Volkswagen ID.4 (VIN [XXX] ), purchased new [XXX]; now ~20,000 miles. Since the first months of ownership it has had recurring, intermittent electrical/software/capacitive-control and safety failures: the center infotainment screen and instrument cluster go blank while driving (loss of speedometer); the power windows operate opposite to the control input or fail to respond (about 1 in 4 drive
... s); the vehicle intermittently fails to detect occupants and enters standby while people are inside, including while charging; door handles malfunction; and the high-voltage battery has recently been overheating. It is subject to recalls 919A/24V-344 (display software), 57J9/24V-651 (door handles), and 93EA/26V-030 & 26V-028 (battery fire risk), yet the defects persist after these remedies. Dealers repeatedly recorded "could not duplicate" - at times despite video I provided - but a second dealer verified the display and window faults and replaced the J685 display unit and the driver's-door master window switch ([XXX], May 2025). VW's own recall filing (24V-344) states a "definitive root cause could not be established." Dealers also clear the CAN bus / fault memory during recall service, erasing the intermittent codes and making the defects hard to document. These failures create genuine crash and fire risk. No crash or injury to date. Dated video and repair-order documentation available - some provided in packet below. 10th Gen Honda Accord has a major engine design flaw allowing coolant to pass through the gasket mixing with fuel in the cylinders causing premature head gasket repair which also puts the injectors under immense stress due to high compression. While driving my 2019 Honda accord to the dealership for inspection. All the lights started flashing on the dash. Highlighting - Critical failure detected
... please stop driving when safe. After a few mins the car’s infotainment system shut off no electrical activity and the car shut off mid drive. Luckily, it was in the morning and not during peak traffic congestion. Had I been going on the expressway I could’ve harmed myself, or someone else. This is highly unacceptable that a car with only 96k miles has a serious engine issue like this. I have maintained the oil changes at the required intervals, changed the fuel pump under recall, tires, brakes etc. After towing to the dealership. Diagnostics were performed and it was confirmed that the coolant was empty and radiator low. Which then prompted the dealer to perform a borescope test for the cylinders and it was found that cylinder 3 had a misfire and was leaking coolant into the cylinders causing premature wear on the gasket as well. The car is out of warranty and the service advisor said to me that they had another Honda just like mine with the same issue. This isn’t an isolated incident and many owners with the 10th gens have the same exact issue nationwide and Honda turns a blind eye and expects us to pay over 6,000 for the repair it’s a total scam! They are making money hand over fist without any recall and just scamming their customers. This is truly unacceptable and should be investigated immediately and Honda reprimanded!Read more
