My transit 2022 van has intermittent issues with the climate controls not working. Sometimes it will completely stop working for a day or more, and other times a few hours. This becomes a big issue in the winter when you need to keep the windshield clear of frost on the outside and inside. When looking online I found that I am not the only one having this issue.

The windshield wiper nozzle that dispenses the wiper fluid is poorly designed. The passenger side nozzle shoots >50% of the fluid off my car and onto the guy in the lane to my right. The husband jumped into the driver’s seat and shifted the gear shifter to low and driven to a safe place and stopped the vehicle. The contact stated that while the vehicle was stopped, the vehicle was turned off for thirty minutes then restarted and operated as intended. The transmission shifter failure warning light was illuminated while her husband was driving. A dealer was contacted. The vehicle was towed to a dealer where it diagnosed and determined that the transmission needed to be replaced and provided an estimate for the repair. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but offered no assistance. The approximate failure mileage was 99,000.Read more

The driver-side seat belt retractor on my 2015 Ford Mustang GT Premium has failed. The seat belt retracts back into the retractor housing when released; however, it does not lock when pulled sharply and continues to extend freely. I confirmed this by repeatedly performing a rapid pull test while seated in the vehicle. The failure affects the seat belt restraint system because the belt does not ap
... pear to engage its locking mechanism. This could increase the risk of injury in a crash because the seat belt may not properly restrain the occupant during sudden deceleration or impact. The issue was inspected and confirmed by a Ford dealership service department. The dealer diagnosed the driver-side seat belt retractor as failed and recommended replacement of the retractor assembly. The dealer provided an estimated repair cost of approximately $550 plus tax. The vehicle was inspected by Smith Ford in Conway, Arkansas. The vehicle was also inspected for a separate seat belt recall, and the recall inspection passed. The dealer advised that the failed retractor was not related to the recall and would require customer-paid repair. There were no warning lights, messages, or airbag system warnings present when the failure was discovered. The primary symptom was that the seat belt would retract normally but would not lock during a rapid pull test. The exact date the failure first occurred is unknown, but the condition was identified during normal vehicle operation and later confirmed by the dealership.Read more

I recently purchased a 2020 Hyundai Tucson with a Nu 2.0 GDI engine. Shortly after purchase the engine completely failed and requires full replacement. This A95 designation does not appear on any consume

Pressed button to open glass sunroof and glass panel crookedly began opening with one side opening farther than the other until it stopped midway with a loud grinding noise. It stopped crooked in the tracks. It would not open. It would not completely close and the rear was left protruding above the roof line. There was nothing holding the back of the glass panel to the tracks. I could lift the bac
... k freely. A strong gust of wind or a passing truck could lift the panel. If the glass panel were to separate from the vehicle, a displaced panel could increase the potential of a crash or injury to other road users. I did not feel it was safe to drive it on the highway and took it to the Hyundai dealer where it sat until repaired on 4/7/2026 with redesigned deflector attachments, carriage bars and driving wedges. Hyundai TSB 23-BD-003H-1 describes this cascading failure of the defective air deflector breaking apart and damaging the sunroof tracks and specifies redesigned parts but fails to take in consideration that the glass panel is not held firmly in place once the connection between panel and tracks have failed. Prior to the sunroof’s failure I was unaware that a TBS had been issued. I had only opened the sunroof about a dozen times and received no warning of the failure. Subaru has issued a vehicle recall 26V346 which also results in a loose glass roof as a recognized safety risk including crash, fire, health, injury. Please encourage Hyundai to recognize the safety risk of a potential crash or injury to other road users of a loose glass sunroof as Subaru has and not as a warranty issue.Read more

I am submitting this complaint to report an unexpected transmission shift event that occurred while operating my 2025 Toyota Prius at highway speed which created an immediate and obvious safety risk. The event occurred on XXX. While driving my Prius at approximately 75mph on Interstate [XXX], I reached toward the center console area to retrieve my sunglasses. I did not intentionally move the shift
... er, but the transmission suddenly shifted from Drive to Neutral. After moving from Drive to Neutral, the accelerator no longer provided propulsion. At the time, my vehicle was traveling downhill and was being followed by an eighteen-wheel tractor trailer. The truck driver behind me had no way of knowing that my vehicle had unexpectedly lost the ability to accelerate. To avoid being struck from behind, I steered left into a paved median area, applied the brakes, and was able to shift back to Drive and merge into the traffic flow. Had a paved escape area not been available, it seems inevitable that our chances of being in a fatal collision with the vehicle behind us would be quite high. My concern is that a normal driver movement (reaching for an item near the center console while driving) may inadvertently have caused the transmission to enter Neutral at highway speed resulting in the possibility of serious harm or fatality. I believe this presents an unacceptable safety hazard and warrants investigation. [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)Read more

Honda has made it extremely easy for thieves to steal the front radar sensor on all 2024 CR-V models. Mine was recently stolen, and there is currently no approved protection or deterrent offered by Honda to prevent this. Even after replacing it, the risk of it being stolen again remains very high. As a result, losing this sensor completely disables key Honda Sensing safety features, making the veh
... icle less safe to drive. On top of that, the replacement cost ranges from $1,500 to $3,000, despite the owner having no fault in the incident. The theft itself can be done in under two minutes. Overall, this design leaves the vehicle highly vulnerable, and it feels like Honda has not taken adequate steps to protect customers, while still leaving them responsible for costly repairs.Read more

2021 Land Rover Discovery 48V mild hybrid (MHEV). Recurring 12V system failures: repeated depleted/dead 12V batteries and no-start events. The 12V battery has failed and been replaced three times during my ownership (two documented at a franchised Land Rover dealer and an independent shop), plus a prior replacement under the previous owner per the vehicle history report. Symptoms: the vehicle wil
... l not start without a jump, repeated low-battery and SOS/telematics warnings, blank infotainment display, and full battery depletion after the vehicle sits unused for as little as 3 days, even with a battery maintainer in use. Dealer cloud diagnosis confirmed two contributing faults. First, elevated parasitic/quiescent current draw from control modules not entering proper sleep state, measured at 1.6A versus a normal value near 0.01A. Second, inadequate 12V charging. The dealer replaced the 12V and telematics backup batteries and applied software updates to multiple modules (including TCU and BCM), yet the failures recurred. This VIN has an open safety recall on MHEVs (NHTSA 26V-248, manufacturer D126) describing a DCDC converter internal fault that causes loss of 12V system charging and a "Stop Safely, Electrical Fault Detected" warning, with potential loss of motive power, coasting to a stop, and loss of exterior lighting. The remedy is not yet available. Safety risk: loss of 12V charging and battery depletion can cause stalling, loss of motive power in traffic, no-start and stranding, and loss of lighting, all of which increase crash risk. On one occasion the vehicle barely started after sitting at an airport lot, nearly leaving my family stranded. The problem has been reproduced and confirmed by both a franchised dealer and an independent service center. The vehicle and the failed batteries are available for inspection on request. Warning messages first appeared before the current failure and have recurred across multiple battery replacements.Read more
