My vehicle is a 2022 Dodge Durango, and suddenly, about a month ago, the driverside day-time running light stopped working. This seemed strange because it's an LED light and they generally last the majority of the vehicle's life, but certainly longer than four years. Then I started to notice other Durangos locally with the same problem, all with the driver's side daytime running light only. I've c
... hecked multiple online forums as well and confirmed that this is a widespread problem. I contacted the FCA hotline to report this problem and to see if Dodge had either addressed this problem or would be willing to. Each time the representative denied having a single complaint about this problem, which I knew to be false after the second time, because I knew there was at least one, MINE from the first report. This repair cost over $1600, and is still not done because the headlight assembly for the driver's side is on back order. Yes, the driver-side headlight assembly is on back order, but not the passenger-side one. When asked why the passenger side is not on backorder, but the driver-side one is, I was told it's because there seems to be a widespread problem with the ones that came on the vehicle from the factory, and replacing them has caused a backorder. To add insult to injury, Dodge's own warranty does not cover this problem, and neither do their expensive extended warranties, because the problem is considered to be a "sealed beam", not the headlight assembly itself, even though the only way to replace the headlight assembly.Read more

2k miles on a new 2026 ford transit. While in traffic there was sudden braking I had plenty of space in front of me (also reported by the driver in front of me) I was not able to stop in time which resulted in rear ending another driver. My abs acted extremely loose, as if I was on ice on a clear day 80 degrees. The driver behind me confirmed seeing my brake lights for a minute before impact. I'm
... a decent driver and leave plenty of room in case of emergency braking but was not able to stop in time due to the way the braking system acted. I also have a 2020 ford transit and the braking is much better than the 2026. I'm concerned someone is going to get hurt. Thank God no one got hurt during this accident.pre collision lights lit up on my dash prior and that's when the braking power went bad. Ford sent a technician to confirm my vehicle was not part of a cotter pin recall but that is not my concern, as I'm concern for when the pre collision came on, I had hardly any braking available. Insurance inspected the incident, but only place a fault not any other type of inspection. I will be calling on the morning to request a forensic inspection.Read more

I discovered significant fraying and tearing of the harness webbing on an Evenflo Revolve360 Extend Revere child restraint seat during routine inspection. The damage is located on the harness strap near the seat pan opening where the harness passes through the restraint system. The damaged seat and harness are available for inspection. The seat was purchased new in April 2023 and has been used on
... ly as intended. It remained continuously installed in the vehicle, was never involved in a crash, was never stored, and was used exclusively in a rear-facing configuration. The child using the seat was approximately 22 pounds and 33 inches tall when the damage was discovered. The harness is a critical safety component designed to restrain a child during a collision. The fraying and tearing involved multiple strands of the webbing and appeared severe enough that the harness could potentially be weakened and unable to perform as intended in a crash. Because of the condition of the harness, the child's safety may have been compromised if the damage had gone unnoticed. The manufacturer, Evenflo, reviewed photographs of the damaged harness. Evenflo stated that the damage was caused by unspecified "environmental factors" and not by the design or manufacture of the product. However, no specific environmental factor was identified. Evenflo also advised that the seat should no longer be used with the harness because of the damage. My concern is that a critical child restraint component experienced substantial deterioration after approximately two years of normal use despite the seat being used according to instructions, remaining installed in the vehicle, and not being subjected to any known misuse, crash, or unusual conditions. Photographs and manufacturer correspondence are available and being submitted with this complaint.Read more

The vehicle’s secondary Autopilot Processor / car computer is internally faulted and stuck in a continuous wake/shutdown loop. They then demanded ~$3,000 customer payment for computer replacement before the recalls could be performed. After I declined the paid repair, Tesla marked both recalls as “completed” via software update despite the same invoice stating the vehicle could not receive updates and remained on software version 2023.38.9 (which predates both remedy firmwares they claimed was installed). Tesla is effectively paywalling federally required safety recall remedies by requiring the customer to first pay for computer replacement first. Two additional recalls remain open (21V-389 seat belt fasteners and 24V-554 hood latch). The problem has been confirmed and documented multiple times by Tesla Service.Read more

Conversely, the vehicle experiences sudden unintended acceleration; during one severe city street incident, the vehicle unexpectedly accelerated from 40 MPH to 60 MPH while the driver was actively braking, causing the brake pedal to feel completely locked, stiff, and unresponsive for several seconds before stopping. While stopped at red lights, the vehicle violently surges and rocks forward/backward as if wanting to accelerate without driver input. The steering assistance system abruptly locks up or pulls hard to the right without warning, requiring the driver to physically wrestle control to maintain lane alignment. The braking system suffers from severe malfunctions, including the pedal randomly repositioning itself lower while driving and dropping completely to the floor during parking, causing the vehicle to roll until pumped. The electronic parking brake intermittently fails to release when shifting into drive/reverse. Additional systemic electrical and safety defects include: complete instrument cluster/gauge blackouts impairing speed monitoring; steering wheel physically blocking gauge visibility; total failure of rearview/surround-view cameras, blind spot monitors, and mirror controls; exterior door handles failing to deploy; rear trunk malfunctions; severe high-voltage battery range loss; and continuous infotainment/navigation crashes. Authorized dealerships have failed to repair these critical safety components across 4 distinct repair attempts.Read more

Additional systemic electrical and safety defects include: complete instrument cluster/gauge blackouts impairing speed monitoring; steering wheel physically blocking gauge visibility; total failure of rearview/surround-view cameras, blind spot monitors, and mirror controls; exterior door handles failing to deploy; rear trunk malfunctions; severe high-voltage battery range loss; and continuous infotainment/navigation crashes. Authorized dealerships have failed to repair these critical safety components across 4 distinct repair attempts.Read more

Severe, life-threatening autonomous safety system and powertrain failures in a 2023 Mercedes-Benz EQE SUV. The vehicle exhibits sudden, violent unintended acceleration, unprovoked emergency braking, and steering lockups. On multiple occasions, including at 75 MPH on the freeway and 45 MPH on city streets, the vehicle abruptly applies maximum braking force down to a near-stop without driver input o
... r any road obstruction, nearly causing multiple catastrophic rear-end collisions with semi-trucks and buses. Car has only 3307 miles and incurred a DTC P1A9096. This meant the vehicle only had power from the 12 volt battery, not traction battery. Luckily, the event happened 3 miles from home and we were able to just make it. Next day upon calling for flatbed tow service, the car generated an additional DTC P05616. 12 volt battery was exhausted and nothing functioned on the car. Had to then call for a
... different tow truck with dollies. The failure of the ICCU (Integrated Charging Control Unit) was a cause for recall on earlier year's models. This is a major safety issue as failure of the ICCU leaves you stranded with an inoperable vehicle where you cannot even lock the doors. Currently, the vehicle is at the dealer (Lithia Hyundai of Anchorage) for repair.Read more

I am reporting a severe safety defect on a brand-new Mazda CX-50 Turbo Premium Plus involving a complete failure and malfunction of the Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), specifically the proximity, forward collision, parking collision, and automatic emergency braking sensors. The safety sensors continuously malfunction, creating an immediate and erratic hazard while driving. The chief con
... cern is the risk of uncommanded, sudden automatic emergency braking at highway speeds, or the complete failure of critical safety warning systems during a real collision event.Upon identifying this safety risk, I contacted an authorized Mazda dealer to arrange an emergency repair. The dealership explicitly promised a loaner vehicle so they could hold my car safely for diagnostic testing. However, when I arrived, the dealership reneged on the loaner vehicle and refused to check the car into service.Instead, dealership sales and service personnel drove my vehicle into the service bay and instructed me to get inside the cabin. A staff member then entered the vehicle settings menu and manually muted the auditory safety alerts to conceal the active sensor malfunction warnings. I immediately protested, stating that muting a critical ADAS safety warning system was unsafe, did not diagnose or repair the defect, and put my life and public safety at risk. Despite my clear objections, the dealership's management instructed me that I must continue to drive the vehicle with the disabled/muted safety systems anyway and to bring it back if anything else happens. When I refused to accept this hazardous vehicle modification and sought alternative resolution, the dealership owner issued a written communication banning me from the property, entirely refusing to honor the manufacturer's warranty or perform mandatory safety repairs. The vehicle remains unrepaired and unsafe to operate on public roads due to random sensor failures, and the primary local dealer has outright refused service.Read more

Not sure if this is a safety issue at this point but there is a rattling noise around the steering column when you drive over any bumps and hoping this will not lead to any safety issues.

Purchased 2023 Nissan Rogue March 2026 drove for 3 months never was informed of a recall. On XXX would not start but it did after removing key from FOB then saw a little gray smoke shut the car down and XXX contacted Lugoff Nissan SC was told of recall and that engine was fully covered. Tuesday called again to inquire about progress none was done. Informed me they would not replace engine unless I
... paid $2,000 to replace catalytic converters but did not do a clog test so not even sure they are damaged but even if they were it is covered under damages caused by a faulty engine oil system cause the oil is cleanse by the converters and which is a Federal requirement but was told they could put old ones back on and I could smoke which was rude and is illegal to run converters that do not function properly and control smog and pollution per the Federal Government. Then agreed to put engine in Wednesday nobody even heard my request that I needed a loaner then worst part was today I was told car had a bad head gasket which I inquired researched talked to two licensed mechanics with over 40 years experience a bad engine causes all that they are refusing to fix oil runs through a system which is filtered by the converters and can damage if not functioning properly and a head gasket is part of the system; it effects the heads by overheating the oil which overheats engine. They said it would be a few days next week before they could check the warranty no it’s been few days it is 10yrs/120,000 extended warranty per the gov required because over 484,000 2023 Nissan engines were defective dangerous mfg in Japan so either or recall or warranty my car is covered I want engine replaced all necessary repairs properly done free of charge a recall engine malfunctioned caused damages; not any my fault and I don’t want to wait a week I can’t even get my [XXX] husband to his cardiology appt. I need answers please asap tomorrow and a loaner while waiting. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.CRead more

The automated braking system engaged unexpectedly for the second time in 3 days. There were no cars in front, no cars parked on the side of the road. The vehicle was brought to a sudden stop with brake flashing on the dashboard. During both instances, there was a car being us that nearly rear ended us due to the unexpected braking.
