2 incidents of Sudden Unintended Acceleration. No warning lights etc in either. Car damaged but available for inspection. Now encountering difficulties initating Toyota investigation. 1st incident (4/18/25; mileage 967) occurred after a hard left turn. After turn onto uphill street, I took my foot from accelerator to slow and maintain distance from a car backing down hill ahead. Instead, car se
... lf-accelerated and shot uphill, over speed bump with increasing speed. Did not respond to braking until it was close to hitting a parked car. Stopped with a slam; probably brake assistance engaged. No damage or injury, but I was shaken. Took car immediately to Toyota dealer to inspect. Was told RoB confirmed an event but not its nature or cause; identified nothing wrong. They hypothesized cruise control might have been triggered accidentally (no evidence, not plausible). Claimed they submitted report to Toyota national center. After 2nd incident, Toyota national said they had no record of 1st event. Their standard safety inspection protocols were not followed. Returned car to me without repair or follow up. 2nd incident ensued. 2nd self-acceleration event (2026) also occurred after hard left turn to make U turn at low speed, braking while completing turn. When I took my foot off brake, before I could press it on accelerator, car shot diagonally across street. Jumped curb and traveled at considerable speed 100' up landscaped slope. Destroyed 6 large shrubs and 3 trees 9' tall. Did not stop despite constant driver braking. Forward collision prevention system did not engage to prevent uprooting trees. Car stopped only after I turned steering wheel sharply to left to avoid hitting a full-size tree trunk. Then car responded to braking, acceleration ended, car stopped next to tree without impact. Terrifying life-threatening event but only damaged landscape and car. Police came, assessed incident, determined not a police matter, did not file police report.Read more

A few weeks ago i noticed that a car passed me and the little blind spot alert light didn't light up. when i arrived at my destination I did some scanning through the menus and i discovered that the blind spot (side assist) was not on, but when i attempted to turn it on, the car said "function not available". I purchased a new 2026 Tesla Model Y Standard and took delivery on approximately 30 May 2026. Within the first week of ownership, the vehicle displayed multiple safety-related warnings, including: * Steering Assist Reduced * Power Braking Assist Reduced * Automatic Emergency Braking Unavailable * Lane Departure Avoidance Features Unavailable * Automatic Vehicle Hold Disabled The warnings have oc

During the most recent occurrence, while parking at less than 3 mph, the vehicle’s braking assistance appeared reduced and the brake pedal required significantly more effort than normal. As a result, I nearly struck a curb because the vehicle did not slow as expected. The warnings indicated that increased steering and braking effort may be required. Because the vehicle is brand new and these warnings involve steering, braking, and collision-avoidance systems, I believe this creates a significant safety risk. I no longer feel the vehicle is safe to drive until it is inspected and repaired. Tesla has been notified and a service request has been initiated.Read more

Recall 23V-431 (Honda 23-046) was previously performed on my vehicle to address MOST communication network failures affecting the infotainment system and backup camera. Despite the recall being marked complete, I continued experiencing intermittent infotainment failures. Symptoms include “Network Connection Lost” messages, complete loss of the center display, audio failure, Apple CarPlay disc
... onnects, system resets, and loss of the backup camera while reversing. The failures frequently occur while driving over bumps, during turns, and recently while backing into a parking space. Because the issue persisted, I sought a second opinion from another Honda dealer. During their inspection, they advised that required portions of Recall 23-046 had not been completed by the original dealership that performed the recall. The service advisor informed me that system history had not been cleared, a factory cable reset had not been performed, and the audio unit had not been properly initialized. In a follow-up text message, the advisor described the situation as a “workmanship error” by the original dealership. The remaining recall procedures were completed, however the same symptoms returned immediately afterward. The center display, audio, Apple CarPlay, and backup camera continue to intermittently fail. I have incurred diagnostic expenses and out-of-pocket repair costs attempting to resolve this issue. My concern is that the original recall repair may not have been properly completed and that the same safety-related symptoms addressed by Recall 23V-431 continue to occur, including loss of backup camera functionality while reversing. I am submitting this complaint because I am concerned that the recall remedy was not properly performed and that the safety defect addressed by the recall may still be present.Read more

Repeatable by auto technician who suggested a battery change- our current battery was fine and did not fix th
... e issue. If you forget and try to remove the key in under a minute after parking you have to restart the truck, go back to park and then start the 1-3 minute countdown all over before it will release the key. The truck is in park, the parking brake is engaged (although we tried without using the brake and still won’t release key) This means the trucks battery has to run until it will release the key. Or chance leaving the key in the ignition (still draining battery) since it won’t turn to the off position.Read more

Was on way to trade truck in onb6/6/26 and got a cylinder #7 misfire. Replaced spark plug and wire and moved coil packs around to trace and stayed on #7. Just had recall completed on 9/25/25 and stated that I've heard a rattling noise in engine area. They performed recall and changed to new oil suggested by GM. Dealership said noise was transmission. I told them that was replaced already within la
... st 50k miles under warranty. Drive it for a few days and rattling noise still there. Took back to dealer on 9/30/25 at cost of $200 diagnositc and stated there is a grinding noise under light acceleration like it's metal on metal. Dealer stated that it was the rear seat rattling. There were NO noises in the cab, only coming from outside at driverside motor area. Called GM 10/1/25 to let them know the denial of motor replacement and we wanted 2nd opinion but we would have to pay out of pocket again. On 6/4/26 had to have truck towed to new dealer. New dealer won't make deal on new truck because of this and we have 2 trips already booked and paid for and 1 at end of June. New dealer is putting in service on 6/8/26 to verify cause. I have called GM after making repairs and they said it was between me and the dealer, there is nothing they can do. This is unacceptable! The issue has been confirmed by Ford through its issuance of the safety recall. I have contacted Ford and dealership service departments regarding the recall. However, I have been informed that repair parts are not yet available, leaving the vehicle unrepaired despite the acknowledged safety defect. The vehicle has been inspected by authorized Ford dealerships in connection with related concerns. I have also communicated directly with Ford regarding the recall and the lack of an available remedy. No specific warning lights or messages related to a cracked fuel injector appeared prior to my awareness of the defect. My concern arises from Ford’s recall notice identifying a condition that may lead to fuel leakage and an engine compartment fire. We are having trouble with the passenger door being inoperative. It will not unlock with the fob or manually, trapping the occupant in the passengers seat. Using AI we determined this is not an isolated problem. A person of my age cannot get out of the car which could present a very serious problem for the occupant.

I was traveling southbound on XXX from [XXX] to [XXX] While traveling in this major highway, the vehicle shunted forward and it felt like something hit us from behind. My vehicle has 81000 miles and the PTU/transmission went out. After doing some research about this issue I discovered that it is a very common problem with jeeps from 2014 to 2024. To get it repaired is $3,000. Seems like Jeep was installing bad transmissions. They should recall these and cover the coast for repair.

I bought the 2015 ford fusion for my son as a graduation present as he headed off to college on his own. The car started misfiring upon cold start for about 5-10 seconds. Eventually the car started misfiring while driving. He frequently had to pull over on the side of the road while driving to make it to his destination. I had him take the car to a ford dealership to be inspected. To my surprise,

Premature Leaking Evaporator Core – 2021 Kia K5 I am submitting this complaint regarding a leaking evaporator core in my 2021 Kia K5. The evaporator core failed at approximately 59,600 miles, causing the air conditioning system to stop cooling properly. The vehicle was diagnosed by a repair facility, which determined that the evaporator core was leaking refrigerant and required replacement. An
... evaporator core is a major HVAC component that should not fail at such low mileage under normal operating conditions. This failure affects the vehicle’s ability to properly dehumidify and defrost the windshield, which can reduce visibility and create a potential safety hazard during rain, high humidity, or cold weather conditions. I have maintained the vehicle as recommended and believe this component failed prematurely. Due to the extensive labor required to replace the evaporator core, the repair cost is significant. I am requesting that NHTSA review this issue to determine whether there is a pattern of premature evaporator core failures in 2021 Kia K5 vehicles and whether an investigation is warranted. Vehicle Information: * Year: 2021 * Make: Kia * Model: K5 * Mileage at Failure: 59,600 miles * Failure: Leaking evaporator core causing refrigerant loss and loss of air conditioning performance Thank you for your consideration.Read more

I was driving on the highway and the driver side trim piece on the window flew off onto ongoing traffic. This is the second piece that flew off. The passenger side also flew off but was fixed.
