The third row seats both have reachable access to the third-row PowerFold buttons even in car seats. My two toddlers can easily reach the fold buttons while strapped in to their seats and are able to recline and move their seats forward and backwards. This caused major safety hazard because their car seats become loose. The buttons are placed very close to the third row seat and are accessible to
... 35 lb children to press and play with them. While strapped into their car seats, my children easily reached and both touched the buttons and loosened their car seats while the car was in motion and I was driving. There is no software setting or built-in dashboard switch to disable the third-row PowerFold buttons in a Ford Expedition. To prevent the seats from accidentally folding, the most effective permanent solutions are removing the associated fuse, disconnecting the physical wiring harness from the button panel, or physically blocking the switch. This is extremely dangerous and needs to be fixedRead more

was driving my 2022 Mustang Mach-E in "One-Pedal" Whisper mode on. I always drive in that mode because it has a great feature where as soon as I take my foot off the accelerator the car slows down significantly. ... he car lurched forward without me touching anything, I had no control of my car no matter how hard I pressed on the brake. My car was driving itself!! when it lurched forward it hit a car parked directly in front of it on its right front side then pushing that vehicle about 2 feet! it did not stop even then, it veered to the right and forward and hit another parked car in the next parking space to the first car that was hit. My car pushed the 2nd car about 2-3 feet before it stopped almost hitting the car parked next to it!! There was an eye witness. This event scared me to death. It was as if someone else was driving my car. I had absolutely NO CONTROL of it. It would NOT STOP. I am soo grateful this happened in a parking lot and not in fast traffic or God forbid the freeway. I would not get back inside my car and never will. We had it towed to a certified repair shop. My car sustained front end & right side front damage. The first car hit sustained right front damage. The 2nd car hit was parked next to the first car hit and sustained right front & right side passenger door damage. No injury. The repair shop has a certified EV Specialist who is going to read the recorder to see how it malfunctioned. There was a police report but haven't received it as of yet. We contacted Ford where we purchased our car. They told us it would be better once repaired to sell the car ourselves as it could take a very long time for Ford to agree to buy it back my car back! only has $9,000 miles on it!! I hope Ford takes this issue seriously!!!Read more

My 2022 Chrysler Pacifica PHEV has experienced three separate complete losses of motive power at highway speed, each preceded only by a brief dashboard warning to pull over safely. First occurrence: April 18, 2026. Second: May 7, 2026 — vehicle towed to Spitzer Motor City (Cleveland, OH), an authorized Stellantis dealer. Dealer replaced the Power Inverter Module hardware under warranty (R.O. 424
... 63CY). Third occurrence: May 17, 2026 — just five days after the repair. Notably, the battery was at 40% on the third occurrence, meaning the engine had not cycled on, distinguishing this failure from the prior two. The root cause is the internal transmission wiring harness connector short identified in NHTSA Recall 03A (23V-010). Per NHTSA's own ODI investigation (RQ24-004), the software recall remedy does not prevent loss of motive power. TSB 21-008-23 / Warranty Extension XE1 identifies full transmission replacement as the correct fix. The dealer did not perform a transmission replacement. The safety risk is severe — complete, sudden loss of drive power at interstate speeds with minimal warning creates immediate rear-end collision risk. The defect has been confirmed by the authorized dealer. The transmission assembly is available for inspection. No police or insurance involvement. This VIN currently shows zero open recalls, suggesting the incomplete repair was logged as satisfying Recall 03A.Read more

As I would be driving down the road, most of the time when getting up to speeds of either 25-30mph or 55-60mph is when the dash board lights up check BSD detection system failure, then it will rev out rpm’s to 5,000-6,000 then lose power to accelerator. I also notice on the dash board where the panel for your selected gear displays is blank and doesn’t show whether you are in park, drive neutra
... l, ECT. After this occurs I can not drive it any longer until I safely stop the car (most of the time on a busy highway or country road Highway where once this happens it becomes dangerous due to the power loss in the accelerator) and put it in park, I’ve tried to put the vehicle in park, once fully stopped, and try to put it back into drive but the shifter is locked into park and will not let me shift the vehicle, I then have to shut the vehicle completely off and open the driver door to get the backup power cut off as-well to have zero power to the vehicle. Once that is completed I then Re-Start the vehicle where it operates normally again, this situation happens at least twice a week if not 3-4. It sometimes has put my passengers and myself at risk of getting into accidents or struck by other vehicle on the road. my vehicle is still under a warranty through the dealership I purchased it from, but when I ask them about it they say that because there is no prompt on the dash once I get there that they cannot do anything about it, nor do they allegedly know why it’s happening, I’ve asked a few other mechanics I know and they say that they have seen this malfunction before with this vehicle and usually it is a transmission sensor? Or a transmission speed sensor issue? I then relay this message back to the dealer ship and they still act like they don’t know what it is, I truly believe that the dealership just doesn’t want to deal with the issue and I only have 2-3000 miles left under their warranty, I do enjoy the vehicle and respect Hyundai for their great customer service.Read more

I am reporting a serious safety issue involving my 2025 Nissan Murano SL, purchased on April 21, 2026. On May 9, 2026, while driving from [XXX] to [XXX] , the vehicle began experiencing repeated failures at stoplights and in traffic. While stopped at red lights with the vehicle in drive, the vehicle unexpectedly shifted into neutral and shut off when I removed my foot from the brake pedal and at
... tempted to accelerate. This first occurred on [XXX] at [XXX] . The issue then occurred again at [XXX] and [XXX] . Concerned for my safety, I drove directly to the dealership for service evaluation. The dealership performed a diagnostic scan but reported that no fault codes were found. I was advised to return for further service evaluation. While attempting to drive home, the same issue occurred again at XXX and XXX. At another intersection, XXX and XXX, I recorded video evidence of the vehicle shifting into neutral and shutting off immediately after releasing the brake pedal at a red light. I returned to the dealership, where dealership staff also reportedly experienced the failure during a test drive. The dealership retained the vehicle for approximately one week for additional testing and evaluation. On May 15, 2026, I was informed that a software update had been performed and the vehicle was returned to me. On May 17, 2026, the same issue reoccurred multiple times in XXX. While stopped in a pickup line at Home Depot, the vehicle shifted into neutral and shut off when attempting to move forward from a stopped position. The same issue then occurred again while waiting in line at 7 Brew Coffee. On one occasion, the vehicle shifted into neutral while my foot remained on the brake pedal and the transmission was still in drive. The engine failed due to complete and sudden oil loss. The vehicle is currently at Fremont Hyundai and available for inspection. Safety risk: the engine failed while driving on the highway with children in the vehicle. A check engine light appeared with no prior warning, the vehicle immediately lost power and stalled, requiring an emergency exit and tow. This is a direct collision risk at highway
... speed. The failure was confirmed by an independent mechanic who found zero oil in the engine and identified it as a known Hyundai defect. The vehicle was then towed to Fremont Hyundai, which is currently conducting diagnostics. The vehicle has been inspected by an independent mechanic and by Fremont Hyundai [XXX] ). No police or insurance involvement. There were NO warning lights, oil pressure alerts, or symptoms of any kind prior to failure. I purchased the vehicle in 2024 and maintained regular oil changes and checkups with receipts. The last oil change was performed a few months before the failure. No mechanic ever flagged low oil. The only warning was a check engine light that appeared seconds before the engine stalled. I have incurred $900 in towing costs as a direct result of this failure. Fremont Hyundai is now requiring me to pay $280 for a diagnostic, followed by $890 for a two-week oil consumption test. They have also stated that if the engine does not pass the initial diagnostic, they cannot help me at all. Given that the engine ran completely dry of oil, it is highly unlikely to pass. This means I am being asked to pay fees for a process the dealership already expects to fail, leaving me with no path to resolution and a car I cannot drive. The 2015 Hyundai Santa Fe is included in a class action lawsuit (Cho et al. v. Hyundai Motor Company) over this exact defect. I was beginning to slowly back out of a parking space in a super market parking lot. I had not put my foot on the accelerator because my car begins to slowly inch backwards once it is put into reverse. As the car began to inch backwards, I saw a car approaching down the parking lot driveway behind me. I immediately stepped on my brake, but instead of stopping, my car began to race backwards, accel
... erating at a fast speed. The car never responded when I put my foot on the brake, so I was unable to stop the car. This caused me to crash into the car driving past me, and that finally stopped the car. Because I was almost perpendicular to the car I hit, and the driver was unable to get out of his car, I then put my car into drive to move it out of the way. My car accelerated out of control, again, this time forward. Again, it did not respond when I put my foot on the brake. My out of control car was quickly heading toward a large metal fire gate. In complete desperation, I stomped very hard on the brake, pressing it to the floor as I was about to hit the gate, and the car finally stopped. In both incidents, my brakes completely failed to stop the car accelerator which was acting on its own. The problem has not been reproduced by Toyota, which says there is nothing wrong with the car. However the data report they gave us is suspect because the data shows no reverse movement of the car and labels the accident a rollover, which it was not. In addition, the inspector told my husband there were more tests he could do, but Toyota had not authorized him to do them. There is a police report, and a witness who observed the whole thing. She said that because of the way the car was moving, it looked like a hit and run accident with the driver trying to make a speedy getaway. There were no warning lights or messages displayed.Read more

I was on the highway doing 70mph and went to break and I had no brakes. I was terrified. I kept trying and I got it to break and pressed again and lost them again. Eventually the pressure on the breaks returned. The remaining ride home was just scarey.

Hello, I am contacting Ford regarding a serious concern with my newly purchased 2026 Ford Explorer ST. Within days of purchase, we discovered water leaking from the moonroof area into the interior of the vehicle, including water coming through the seatbelt pillar area , wetting the roof as well, during rain and vehicle washes. In addition to the leak, there is noticeable wind and air noise coming
... from the moonroof area even when the roof is fully closed, (we notified them the day we got the vehicle about this) which raises concerns that the seal is not properly seating or sealing against the vehicle. After noticing these issues, we inspected several similar vehicles on the dealership lot and observed that multiple vehicles appeared to have uneven or improperly fitted moonroof seals as well. This has increased our concern that this may be a manufacturing or assembly defect rather than normal wear or an isolated issue. Because this vehicle is brand new and the issue was reported almost immediately after purchase, we are requesting that Ford review this matter seriously and assist in ensuring the vehicle is properly repaired or otherwise resolved. We are concerned about long-term damage to the interior, electronics, airbags, mold or mildew risks, and the overall value and reliability of the vehicle. We have documented the leak and seal concerns with photos/videos and are currently working with the dealership for inspection. Thank you for your time and assistance.Read more
