The multimedia screen which shows the map and direction guidance became to blank occasionally, just white grey since February 2026. I immediately lost the direction. It could be back by restarting the engine at the beginning. The problem got worse, happened more often, some times the screen couldn't be back by restarting engine, but I found that it could be reset by pressing the volume button for
... long time. I reported to Toyota local dealer - Hendrick Toyota Apex and Toyota Brand Engagement center, the case manager is Freddy. The local dealer run diagnosis twice, couldn't detect any problem. On May 11, the screen totally died, black, no any light. Restarting engine or pressing the volume Botton couldn't get the screen back any more. the audio system is still working, I tried to use the map on my iPhone, the direction map couldn't be showed, only the text direction shows. Because the system let map show on screen, it assumes that the map shows one screen but it is not. I lost car screen and the phone direction at the same time. Plus the backup camera doesn't show on the screen. Therefore, it is underivable in any unfamiliar area, and dangerous to drive in neighborhoods. I reported to local dealer and Toyota Brand Engagement center with videos. May 18, the local dealer run diagnosis again, found nothing wrong. But before I leave, the screen became blank. This morning it happened again. The problem is not fixed. Freddy told me he suggested to local dealer to replace the screen, I am waiting Hendrick Toyota Apex call me for the appointment. I can't upload videos. If you want to see the videos, please tell me where and how to upload the videos. There was a recall on my PVC part in my 2023 atlas. An effect of a clogged pvc is an oil leak. The Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) system relieves built-up pressure inside your engine. When it fails or clogs, this pressure traps air inside the crankcase. The excess pressure often forces oil out through the weakest points, which can mimic a bad seal or gasket. I took my car to the dealership
... in Md and they claim that I need to get new seals on several parts of my car but they claim that my oil leak its not related to the PVC. This is a 2023 car with one owner and no previous problems. There are thousands of complaints online about the PVC part continuing to fail and continuing to cause oil leaks in consumers cars. The oil leak has also caused my driving belt to fail and in my case shred while driving. This is unsafe and makes cars slow down instantly and can cause major car accidents. Why are consumers expected to pay for seal replacements when its related to failed parts on a car. The VW dealership said that my engine light would need to be on for them to say its a result of the failed PVC but my engine light was on when I dropped my car off. The dealership said they will not replaced parts that were effected from failed PVC due to car being out of warranty. My research tells me that Volkswagen is legally responsible. Because auto manufacturers are governed by strict liability laws, they are responsible for injuries and property damage flowing from the defective product they sold.VW wants consumers to pay $842 dollars to replace a part that cost less than $20. The VW company said that I needed to get my recall repair done earlier in order for them to honor the damages however Ive never seen a recall that came with a time limits on car repairs. This is highway robbery and VW needs to be held responsible for failing to maintain accountable and damages to consumers.Read more

This is not an isolated incident but a recurring defect that has persisted for years. Multiple diagnostic and repair attempts have been unsuccessful: • Coconut Creek Hyundai service center - unable to diagnose [DATE(S)] • Independent mechanics - unable to resolve [DATE(S)] • Issue remains unresolved despite multiple service visits Despite multiple attempts by qualified technicians, the root cause has not been identified and the defect has not been corrected. This malfunction creates a significant safety hazard: • Unintended acceleration increases risk of collision • Reduced acceleration capability limits ability to merge or accelerate safely • Check engine light indicates undiagnosed system failure • Problem is intermittent and unpredictable, making it unsafe to drive I am concerned this may represent a defect pattern affecting multiple 2019 Sonata vehicles. I took my vehicle to a Ford dealership in Aptil 2025 to see if the recall had been satisfied with the 2023 repair, they assured me that it had been satisfied. I would have gotten my vehicle in for the recall if I wasn't lied to, and my daughter would have not had to gone through that ordeal had I not been lied too. While driving on a clear road, the vehicle suddenly applied automatic emergency braking with no obstacle present. Also, the sudden braking could have easily caused me to loose control of the vehicle. I purchased my 2022 Hyundai Kona on August 28, 2024, and I am the first registered owner. Only 48 days after purchase, the vehicle suddenly broke down without warning while stopped at a red light in [XXX] after traveling from [XXX] . The vehicle had to be towed. Since then, the vehicle has repeatedly experienced dangerous engine and timing-related issues despite major repairs, including an engine
... replacement, timing chain repairs, and multiple dealership inspections. The most dangerous incidents involve sudden power loss and large clouds of smoke while driving. On January 1, 2026, while attempting to pass a semi-truck on a multi-lane highway, the vehicle suddenly lagged, lost acceleration power, and emitted a large cloud of white smoke from the exhaust. This created an extremely unsafe situation because I was actively passing traffic at highway speeds and could have been struck by surrounding vehicles. I have also experienced these failures late at night on busy highways while traveling between [XXX] and [XXX] . In March 2026, the vehicle again emitted a large cloud of smoke and resumed lagging during acceleration. On April 23, 2026, Hyundai of Meridian informed me they personally witnessed the vehicle emit another large cloud of black smoke during test driving. These smoke events can reduce visibility for surrounding drivers and create hazardous roadway conditions. The vehicle has spent approximately 149 days in repair facilities, nearly 24% of the time I have owned it. Multiple dealerships documented timing chain slack, cam timing issues, and major engine concerns. Despite the recurring failures and safety concerns, Hyundai denied replacing the engine again and denied buying back the vehicle. I no longer feel safe operating this vehicle due to the risk of sudden power loss, engine failure, and smoke emissions while driving in traffic. Not being able to charge the bike also forces the high voltage battery to sit at a low state of charge which can lead to damage. There are very limited service facilities and no ability to perform over-the-air updates which exacerbates these problems. These bikes, brand new, cost about $15,000. The cost of a replacement Onboard Charge Controller is $6,200, and a replacement RESS is over $9,000. Even the most sophisticated, luxury brand vehicle ECMs might cost 1/3 that amount- and this one just controls functions on a motorcycle. There are no warnings that the OBC is going to fail- it just happens and you can no longer charge the bike. The dealership told me the last person they had bring one in waited over a year for anything to happen with it and ended up needing both parts replaced with zero support from Harley Davidson- effectively having paid for the bike twice. Harley Davidson needs to cover the cost of replacement Onboard Charge Controllers and other issues stemming from their failure. It's completely unreasonable for customers to need a new powertrain in less than half the number of miles most cars go before needing their first oil change. The nature of these parts also makes them extremely difficult and dangerous for a private repair business to even try to fix the controller.Read more

The symptoms are shuddering (driving and turning corners), delayed acceleration and bouncing from a stop. This has been recalled and the clutch will never stop performing this way. This is the 3rd time I have had an issue. Researching this online, I have found that it is a federal law that it must be fixed free of charge. Dealership has refused to work with me. WHAT DO I DO NOW?

My 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD 6.6 gas with 59K miles has been experiencing the "shift to park" problem associated with this and other Chevrolet/GM vehicles. When putting the car in park, the column shifter moves the transmission from drive to park but when you shut off the vehicle the "Shift to Park" warning comes on and prevents the car from completely shutting down. Apparently, this is d
... ue to a defective microswitch inside the steering column that GM is well aware of. There are literally hundreds of thousands of us Chevrolet/GM owners experiencing this same problem and GM needs to acknowledge their problem and fix it as they are charging up to $700 to fix this defective part that they know is causing this issue. This has nothing to do with regular "wear and tear" on the vehicle. GM is well aware of this issue and needs to be held accountable and issue a recall to fix this problem.Read more

My 2021 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 with the 3.0 diesel is experiencing constant high running engine fan, engine power reduced notification on the dash, fluctuating temperature and is showing a P1098 code indicating the coolant control valve needs replaced. GM has issued a special coverage on this part, which my truck is well withing the parameters for. However, GM tells me the VIN isn't associated w
... ith the special coverage. I have spoken with other owners who have the same year / engine vehicle as I do, and GM replaced their part for free under the special coverage. I have not been giving any explanation as to why my vehicle isn't covered even though the bulletin N25250834 clearly states my vehicle and year. I escalated to the GM executive level and have failed to get my coolant control valve replaced. The vehicle reducing engine power is a major safety concern in traffic as well as the obvious over heating issue. GM is blatantly mishandling the situation.Read more

In August 2024, BMW of Pittsburgh executed federally mandated Safety Recall 23V-707, which required opening the cylinder head. ... BMW Factory Code 002A89: Exhaust VANOS Camshaft Mechanism Fault (Mechanical Sticking/Flow Restriction). Technicians at Bobby Rahal BMW explicitly instructed me to return the car to BMW of Pittsburgh because they suspected the original VANOS safety recall repair was botched. On October 28, 2024, I returned the vehicle to BMW of Pittsburgh to address this issue. Their technicians opened the engine block assembly a second time, yet failed to correct the defect. Following this second visit, the check engine light continued to come on intermittently. The vehicle began suffering rough idling, difficulty starting, and dangerous stalling events during operation. Cycling the ignition on and off provided only temporary relief. The check engine light has now become permanently illuminated. The safety hazards have severely escalated into a protective engine "limp mode," causing violent drivetrain shuddering and a catastrophic loss of driveability. BMW of Pittsburgh refuses to honor the recall workmanship, demanding a predatory $6,000 out-of-pocket teardown fee to bypass their liability. The manufacturer (BMW North America) has been notified under Case Reference VH78028, but the safety defect remains unaddressed, and the vehicle is completely unsafe to drive.Read more

While driving the vehicle on a public roadway at approximately 70mph, the vehicle suffered a sudden and catastrophic powertrain failure without timely warning. The check engine light illuminated, the physical engine oil pressure gauge dropped to absolute zero, and the dashboard immediately flashed a critical "Hybrid System Malfunction" warning. > This mechanical and electrical failure triggered an
... instantaneous, total loss of motor power while traveling live lane with traffic behind me. The vehicle immediately stalled and became a completely inoperable, unresponsive rolling hazard. The vehicle failed to restart and left me stranded on a narrow shoulder which was very hazardous as traffic coming at high speeds could have easily rear ended me. The vehicle required a flatbed tow to an authorized Toyota dealership, and after submitting a case with corporate hoping for a trade assist(as my wife no longer feels safe in this chassis), I have been told it will take up to 45 days to process this request. I made a significant investment in this vehicle in January of 2023 and have since methodically kept up with maintenance, with hopes this vehicle would last me 10+ years. I find it highly inexcusable for Toyota to not consider speedily helping a loyal customer in this situation and making it right in a timely manner. I am now being offered a vehicle the same as mine of the current year and with me having to put over 22K in equity to close the gap. I should not be left on the hook for something that put my safety at risk and now has left me without the ability to travel as my family has lost their main method of transportation. Manufacturing defects should not come at the customers expense.Read more
