The vehicle’s rear differential has developed significant internal "play" (excessive clearance between gears). This defect manifests as abnormal vibration and inconsistent power delivery to the wheels. The vehicle was inspected by an authorized BMW Technician at Passport BMW . Although I reported hitting a curb (low-speed impact), the official diagnostic report from the BMW Technician explicitl
... y stated that the curb impact did not cause the differential failure. The technician identified the issue as a failure of the internal differential components, which is consistent with numerous reports of drivetrain defects in the B MW X5. Despite the vehicle being well under the 50,000-mile warranty threshold and the technician’s own finding that external damage was not the cause, BMW is currently refusing to honor the warranty repair for this critical mechanical component. I purchased the vehicle in March 2025 Certified Pre owned.Read more

My 2019 Kia Sorento equipped with a Theta II engine entered limp mode and displayed a flashing check engine light along with an active P1326 diagnostic trouble code. The P1326 code is a proprietary Kia/Hyundai specific code that can only be generated when the Knock Sensor Detection System (KSDS) software update is present on the vehicle. This software was developed and distributed by Kia specifica
... lly to detect Theta II engine bearing failure and rod bearing wear before catastrophic engine damage occurs. The presence of the P1326 code is confirmation by Kia's own proprietary detection system that this engine is experiencing the exact failure pattern associated with the Theta II engine defect. The vehicle was towed to an authorized Kia dealership. The dealership refused to perform a BTC test or enter the vehicle into Techline, citing that the VIN does not appear in the Theta II settlement database. Kia America customer care has also denied coverage. The vehicle remains inoperable. Safety risk is significant. The Theta II engine defect has been directly linked to engine fires in Kia and Hyundai vehicles. Limp mode and sudden loss of power while driving creates serious risk of accidents, injury, or death to the driver and other motorists. The 2012-2019 Kia Sorento is a model year range specifically identified in Theta II multidistrict litigation. Kia's own KSDS software flagging a P1326 code on this vehicle while Kia simultaneously denies any defect-related coverage is contradictory and raises serious safety concerns for owners whose VINs were excluded from settlement but whose vehicles are exhibiting identical failure symptoms.Read more

Subject: 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe Safety Defects, Recall Failures, and Loss of Safe Vehicle Use Complaint Narrative: I am the owner of a 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe plug-in hybrid vehicle manufactured by FCA US LLC / Stellantis. I am filing this complaint due to ongoing safety-related defects and recall-related concerns affecting the vehicle, including repeated recalls, reduced confidence in
... vehicle safety, loss of vehicle use, and concerns regarding battery system reliability and fire risk. My vehicle has been subject to multiple recalls and/or service campaigns involving the high-voltage battery system and related charging/safety systems. These recalls and warnings have created serious concern regarding the safe operation, charging, parking, and ownership of the vehicle. Specific concerns include: Repeated recall notices affecting vehicle safety Concerns regarding high-voltage battery failure and/or fire risk Instructions or warnings affecting normal use of the vehicle, including charging limitations and parking restrictions Significant inconvenience and loss of use Time spent at dealership service departments for inspections, software updates, or attempted remedies Recent, additional recall 78C/NHTSA 25V-766 Reduced reliability and diminished confidence in the safety of the vehicle Potential diminished resale value due to ongoing recall history The repeated nature of these issues raises concerns that the remedies may not fully resolve the underlying defects. As an owner, I no longer feel confident in the long-term safety and reliability of this vehicle. I request that NHTSA continue investigating the safety and effectiveness of the recall remedies affecting Jeep 4xe plug-in hybrid vehicles and evaluate whether consumers are receiving adequate permanent repairs and protections. Recall 272 - ICCU Ioniq 6 : ICCU fuse and update were required. Dealership ONLY did update. Did not replace fuse. Vehicle was "updated" for Recall 272 on 2/19/2025. This should have triggered the dealership to the Recall 272. On [XXX], within 1 hour of picking up the vehicle, all alarms went off indicating to stop driving the vehicle due to an electronic system error. DTCP1A9096. The vehicle was inoperable and had to be towed to the dealership. This should have triggered the dealership, again, to the Recall 272. On 4/22/2026, I was informed the vehicle was ready for pickup after replacement of the 12 volt battery. The issue was, again, directly related to the unrepaired recall 272. I was told that the 12 volt was not holding a charge. This should have triggered the dealership service, with the original issue, that it related back to the Recall 272. On [XXX] the power seats failed to operate. Again, related back to Recall 272. On May 9, 2026, the vehicle was taken to the dealership. On May 11, 2026 the dealership called to say that the fuse blew and was repaired. I refused to pick-up the vehicle siting extreme concerns for my safety given that the underlying issue has yet to be diagnosed. The vehicle remains that the dealership as of 5/20/206 without any further diagnostics completed. A claim with Hyundai USA was submitted on May 8, 2026. My 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD High Country 6.6L Duramax engine has an exhaust leak that causes diesel exhaust to travel into the pickup's cab through the outside air vent and air conditioning system during the exhaust system's regeneration. This issue with the 6.6L Duramax pickups appears to be a common theme amongst owners and GM should be providing dealers with the appropriate fix with a recall of the exhaust system. I own a 2024 Ford F-150 Lightning Platinum built in August 2024. The vehicle has been at the dealership for over 45 days for severe, unresolved electrical safety defects. I have attached photographic proof of the main defects. The first three photos show the driver's instrument display screen behind the steering wheel completely blacking out on startup, blinding critical safety gauges like the sp

I manually set my lumbar support to a comfortable 3-4-3 setting and save it, but every time the truck sits, the seat completely deflates to a flat zero default on startup. This causes an immediate driving distraction and ergonomic hazard. The factory navigation also randomly shouts driving directions out of nowhere without any driver input. The dealership is currently trying to install a temporary "bypass wire" hack on my factory harness just to see if it fixes the seat memory. However, Ford's internal hotline (SSSC) refuses to authorize repairs for the black screen or phantom navigation until a tech physically catches it glitching on command. Ford’s policy is to return the vehicle unrepaired if it does not fail during active observation. I am requesting NHTSA to investigate Ford's active evasion of safety recall 25V540 (Ford 25S88). 1. Component failed and availability for inspection: The engine assembly block failed due to a manufacturing defect known as "coolant intrusion into the cylinders." The vehicle and the defective engine are currently located at my residence and remain fully available for federal or manufacturer inspection upon request. 2. Safety risk: The safety of myself and others was severely compromised. Coolan
... t entering the combustion chambers causes sudden, severe engine misfires across all cylinders, erratic power loss, and instantaneous stalling. Operating a vehicle where the engine can suddenly lose all power on high-speed roads creates an immediate risk of rear-end collisions and catastrophic traffic accidents. Furthermore, high-pressure internal coolant leaks pose an inherent risk of engine fires. 3. Problem confirmed by a dealer: Yes. The problem has been officially diagnosed and confirmed by an authorized Ford dealership service center, which documented internal coolant intrusion. 4. Inspected by manufacturer, police, or insurance: The component was inspected and verified by the vehicle manufacturer's authorized dealership technicians. It has not been inspected by the police or insurance representatives, as no crash has occurred yet. 5. Warning lamps, messages, or symptoms prior to failure: Prior to the diagnosis, the vehicle exhibited a "Check Engine Light." Currently, the vehicle is suffering from critical failure symptoms: the Check Engine Light is flashing constantly, the engine misfire codes are actively showing on all 4 cylinders, and the vehicle shakes violently at low RPMs (rough idling). These severe symptoms first appeared approximately 2 moths ago and have progressively worsened due to the coolant intrusion.Read more

... equested a diagnostic scan to retrieve fault codes from the Park Assist module. What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? The Park Assist system (automated parking assistance) malfunctioned during an active parking maneuver. While the system was in control of the vehicle, it directed the car in reverse and struck an object. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? The vehicle moved autonomously and struck an object without driver input, resulting in a collision. A pedestrian, cyclist, or other vehicle in the path could have been seriously injured. The incident demonstrates the system cannot be trusted to safely detect and avoid obstacles while in control of the vehicle. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? Not yet. The vehicle is being brought to the selling dealer for a diagnostic scan to retrieve fault codes from the Park Assist module. This report is being filed prior to that inspection. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? Not yet. BMW North America has been notified. Dealer inspection is pending. Incident date: May 20, 2026
Driving down a highway at 70 mph and a notification popped up saying to pull over and turn off the vehicle because the engine would shut down soon. I lost the ability to accelerate and impeded traffic. Had to pull over on the side of the road with minimal shoulder. This has happened dozens of times; all at high rates of speed and often in heavy traffic.
