The center console between the front seats has a design defect. When small objects such as a credit card, key fob, or coin are left on the flat surface of the console, they can slip through a gap into the internal storage compartment. Once inside, the object becomes lodged and physically blocks the console lid from opening, locking the owner out of the storage compartment. The console must be part
... ially disassembled to retrieve the object. This is a design flaw, not operator misuse. The flat surface visually appears usable, and the owner's manual does not warn against placing objects there. This defect is widely reported in the "Toyota Sienna 2025+" Facebook group (the largest online community of current Sienna owners), where multiple owners report the same problem. The defect is therefore not isolated. The vehicle was purchased new on 01/22/2026 from Nourse Toyota. The dealer declined to repair and referred me to Toyota. Toyota Customer Experience (Case ID XXX, contact: [XXX], 06/04/2026) declined to offer a remedy. On 06/10/2026, the Toyota Brand Engagement Center (Case #XXX) confirmed in writing that no recall or Customer Support Program covers this issue, and that the diagnosis does not indicate a manufacturer defect. No warning lamps or messages appeared. The defect is mechanical. I request NHTSA review this defect for investigation and potential recall action. I am having issues with putting car in park. Keeps showing not in park and will not shut off until I yank on handle. Getting worse & taking so long. Took my 22 silverado with the L87 engine in for the recall. The dealer stated that my vehicle had a tick in the motor but it passed the pico test. They switched it to the 0W40 oil and stated that my engine will probably blow here soon, but until that happens there hands are tied. Today i took my truck in for another inspection because my motor had a very loud Tick noise almost sounding like metal
... on metal, they stated they did not hear anything and without more proof nothing can be done. My safety is very much put at risk when i report something to them thats happening with the vehicle, and if my motor blows while im driving 80 MPH i could crash into others or even die myself. My transmission is also having problems of what i would call Bucking when you put it into drive, i also filled up with gas last week shut my truck off pumped gas, got back into my truck and started it, went to put it into drive had no power shut it off and did it again, i had power but my rear wheels were locked up and wouldnt budge. shut it off turned my truck on and engaged the 4 wheel drive, and then disengaged it, still not able to drive. shut it off and put it back into drive and the rear wheels were able to drive normally. Dealership says theres a recall on the transmission to add a spacer plate so it was ordered. The contact owns a 2023 Freedom TA3G trailer. The contact stated the trailer was custom-made, and the size specification was 8.5' x 34'. Upon delivery, the contact discovered extensive manufacturing defects on the trailer, including dimensional errors and critical safety hazards. The contact stated that the trailer's length and width dimensions did not match the ordered specifications, and the axl
... e size was less than the required 8.5-ft. width specification. Additionally, the inaccurate structural measurements on the box frame had rendered the trailer entirely inoperable. Furthermore, only one of the four trailer brakes was properly connected, with the remaining brake wires completely disconnected and hanging off the assembly. The interior lighting system was non-functional; the assembly screws were actively backing out and falling off the interior panel walls, ceiling, and flooring sheets, both inside and outside the trailer. The trailer body exhibited severe pre-existing rust and metal oxidation despite being sold as a brand-new vehicle. The dealer was notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 0.Read more

What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? The engine stalls out and shuts the car down. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? While driving down the road, if the engine shuts off, myself, passengers, and other vehicles could cause a fatal crash. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent serv
... ice center? Not yet Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? I have brought this in several times to try and fix this issue. The fuel pump has been replaced and the auto idle recall has been take care of. Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? The check engine light comes on occasionally when it happens; sometimes when it does not. Other details: Several times now my car has randomly shut off especially when driving down the road. I wasn't sure what happened, but I finally figured out a way to replicate it. Basically if you drive it after about an hour of non-stop driving / engine being turned on, the engine overheats causing the car to stall out and eventually turn off. I timed this at 10:15AM to 11:25AM and my suspicions were correct. At 11:25AM, the car stalled and shut off while I was parked in my driveway.Read more

Request for Goodwill Assistance – Turbocharger Failure (Special Coverage XXX) Dear General Motors Customer Assistance, I am writing to request a one-time goodwill repair for my 2018 Buick Encore (VIN: [XXX]). Approximately two months after purchasing this vehicle, the check engine light illuminated and diagnostic testing identified code P0299, indicating turbocharger failure. This issue appea
... rs to align with General Motors' Special Coverage Program XXX, issued in February 2024 for certain 2017–2018 Buick Encore vehicles equipped with the 1.4L engine due to known turbocharger failures. Unfortunately, my local GM dealership has informed me that they are unable to perform the repair under the special coverage because the vehicle carries a Pennsylvania reconstructed (R) title. While I understand the vehicle's title status, I respectfully ask GM to consider the unique circumstances. In Pennsylvania, reconstructed vehicles must undergo a rigorous Enhanced Vehicle Inspection process before they can be legally registered and operated on public roads. My vehicle successfully passed all required inspections and is legally certified for highway use. Because this special coverage was issued to address a defect that may lead to significant engine damage and, in some cases, a potential engine compartment fire, I am requesting a one-time goodwill repair or other assistance from General Motors. The concern involves a known condition affecting this vehicle platform and presents a potential safety risk during both local and highway driving. I have been a loyal GM customer and would greatly appreciate your review of this situation. Given that the vehicle has been properly repaired, inspected, and approved for road use under Pennsylvania law, I respectfully request that GM reconsider eligibility for assistance despite the reconstructed title designation. Thank you for your time, consideration, and any assistance you may be able to provide. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(BRead more

While driving down the highway I suddenly heard a loud bang and what looked like smoke came out from the area by the front passenger seatbelt. The seatbelt had suddenly retracted fully and locked. Thankfully the seat was unoccupied at the time, so nobody was injured by this. When calling the local Ford dealership we were told we needed to bring vehicle in for inspection before parts could be order
... ed. When we called back to schedule the inspection we were told the recall was paused so we needed to wait to even have the inspection. After contacting Ford corporate we were finally able to bring in for inspection 06/01/2026 to confirm what we already knew about the broken seatbelt retractor. The dealership relayed this info to Ford, and Ford told them not to fix it at this time. When we called the dealership 06/08 they relayed that info to us. We then requested that Ford provide us a loaner vehicle. The dealership called us back 06/09 to let us know that Ford would not be providing a loaner vehicle. Our front passenger seat is occupied about 95% of the time, and that seatbelt is completely unusable. We have not been given any kind of timeline for when it can be repaired, and have no other option but to drive it the way it is. It is illegal and we are forced to put the life of one of our family members at risk because we do not have any extra seats or the money to buy yet another vehicle or pay for a rental as we are still paying for this vehicle that we bought less than a year ago.Read more

The front light **What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request?** The front passenger-side (right) headlight failed completely on my Land Rover Defender. The headlight assembly, including the bulb and/or associated electrical components, ceased functioning without any prior indication of a problem. The vehicle is available for inspection upon re
... quest. **How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk?** The sudden loss of a front headlight significantly reduced visibility while driving at night, creating a serious safety hazard for myself, passengers, and other road users. Reduced lighting also diminishes the vehicle's visibility to oncoming traffic, pedestrians, and cyclists, increasing the risk of a collision. **Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center?** Yes. The failure was confirmed by an authorized Land Rover dealership, which inspected the vehicle and verified that the front passenger-side headlight had failed. **Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives, or others?** The vehicle was inspected by an authorized Land Rover dealership, which confirmed the headlight failure. No inspection has been conducted by police or insurance representatives at this time. **Were there any warning lamps, messages, or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear?** There were no warning lamps, dashboard messages, flickering, dimming, or any other symptoms prior to the failure. The headlight failed suddenly and without any advance warning, providing no opportunity to anticipate or respond to the malfunction before it occurred.Read more

"While driving a 2025 Hyundai Ioniq 6 at approximately 10,000 miles, the vehicle experienced a sudden, catastrophic Integrated Charging Control Unit (ICCU) failure with no advance warning. The vehicle became a completely invisible, immovable dead weight on an active roadway, presenting an imminent, extreme threat of crash, injury, or death to myself and surrounding motorists. I was holding my breath and have to call AAA road side emergency assistance, only when an external battery is connected I could move the car in "Turtle Mode" to a safe spot. The manufacturer has replaced the ICCU, but the total failure of critical emergency safety and braking indicators poses a fundamental safety defect that needs federal investigation."Read more

I purchased a brand-new 2025 Chevrolet Traverse and have been dealing with a loud brake squeal that makes the vehicle sound like it has worn-out brakes. I’ve taken it to two different Chevrolet dealerships, and instead of fixing the issue, I’ve repeatedly been told that this is a common problem with the 2025 Traverse and that many owners are experiencing the same thing. I’ve been given mult
... iple explanations, including weather conditions and the vehicle needing to warm up, but no actual solution. I was even told there is currently no fix available through GM and that replacing the brake pads will not resolve the problem. What is most frustrating is that everyone seems to acknowledge the issue while also telling customers to simply live with it. This is a brand-new vehicle, and customers should not be expected to accept a known brake defect as normal. Very disappointed with both the dealership experience and GM’s response to what appears to be a widespread issue.Read more

An alarm keeps going off warning the driver to take a break. The vehicle has an infrared sensor watching your eyes. If you look right or left it keeps sounding an alarm for you to take a break. On 6/2/26 a young child on an electric bike pulled right out in front of me and I nearly hit him. He was about five years old and didn’t look. I was watching to my left and saw him coming and stopped in time. This device/warning warns against looking for anything to either side of the road. I’m a retired automotive quality engineer and this feature is the antithesis of safety. I can’t believe it ever passed a DFMEA design review. The dealer says it can’t be shut off. There’s already alerts/alarms to warn against leaving your driving lane. This serves no useful purpose and poses a hazard to defensive driving.Read more

... became aware of in Ford Recall 26S34 (NHTSA Campaign 26V344), however our 2019 Ford Edge is not included in the recal campaign. This is a repeatable malfunction which occurred many times over the course of the summer of 2025. The local Ford dealership was not helpful and, at that time, indicated replacement retractor mechanisms were unavailable when I reported the issue to them. I performed an inspection of the unit and reported the issue to the local Ford dealership. I am a retired Accident Investigation Officer from the Illinois State Police and hold a degree in Aerospace Engineering so I am comfortable in reporting this as a product defect. The vehicle does not indicate there is a problem through any type of error light or message. The only way to know it has occurred is to attempt to put on the seat belt and hope it is usable.Read more

It began with front end grinding sounds. I took the vehicle to multiple mechanic shops and all the shops agree that the Power Transfer Unit is leaking and metal shaving are visibly coming out of the seal. This is supposed to be a sealed unit that doesn’t require service. There are already two separate recalls for this exact issue 2017 - 2019 and 2019 - 2023. Apparently, this could disengage fro
... m the transmission or worse, lock my transmission up and possibly cause an accident. Flashing the CM did not solve anything. My car has been at the mechanic shop for a little over a month with a new unit already ordered. I have been paying close attention to this and relevant recalls.Read more

Stellantis (owner of Jeep) has issued an intent to recall a million or so Wranglers/Gladiators starting next month. They have urged people to park away from structures and other cars. Living in suburban NY, relatively dense by most standards, and working in a place I park my car in a garage, this is near impossible therefore leaving my car a combustion risk, risking the lives and wellbeings of mys
... elf, my family, and my neighbors, along with my work associates. While this may work in rural areas such as Peoria, this is not an acceptable solution for NYers such as myself. Furthermore, I purchased the car to be plugged in, and given this news, am urged to relinquish a very expensive feature I paid good money to use.Read more

Not due to recalls. My entire car was malfunctioning over the backup camera. Every system was being displayed on my dashboard as all lights were on. Turning signals and four ways would not work, my steering became tight and hard to turn.

The infotainment system in my vehicle randomly crashes at various times and often happens when the vehicle is in reverse with the backup camera active which is a safety issue. Outside of the crashes, there are often lags/delays with the backup camera in the infotainment system.

The Cruise control pacing/follow option does not slow down/break and will rear end/strike any vehicle. The auto breaking does not work. The touch screen constantly cycles randomly changing map directions, radio stations, heat and air conditioning, seat heating and cooling. Puts driver at risk due to constant changes and alert sounds.
