An employee was adjusting a tarp on the trailer of his tractor/trailer combination. He was standing on a catwalk, preparing to exit the fixed ladder, when his foot slipped and he fell approximately 8 feet to the gravel lot surface. He sustained a fractured wrist, fractured ribs, and a cracked pelvis.
