Incident Narrative
An employee was dismantling scaffolding. The employee raised a platform section from the lowest position (at four feet high) up to approximately eight feet in order to access and unbolt the top tower section to take it down. The employee removed the four corner bolts holding the section in place then proceeded to climb back down. The employee inadvertently grabbed the unbolted tower section while attempting to climb back down and it fell onto the employee pushing the employee off the platform approximately eight feet to a compacted stone parking lot surface. The employee sustained a fractured pelvis, a head laceration, and contusions and abrasions.
