Incident Narrative

Employees were using an overhead crane to move logs. One employee was controlling the crane with a remote control. Another employee had his right hand on top of the hoist block when the block was raised. The employee's index finger was caught between the block and a pipe resulting in a partial amputation of the right index finger.
