Incident Narrative

An employee was preparing a crane to load a sheet of metal on a plasma table. The employee straddled the spreader bar to unhook it from the crane, attached a plate clamp, and then stepped over the spreader bar while raising the clamp. The clamp snagged on the lip of the spreader bar, which tipped over. The bar struck the employee's lower left leg, breaking it.
