Incident Narrative

On November 19, 2018, an employee was cleaning a sink with drain cleaner that contained sulfuric acid. The cleaner reacted with another cleaner that had already been poured down the sink, and a chemical cloud formed in the bathroom. The employee was exposed and was hospitalized for chemical burns to the lungs, face and skin.
