An employee was working on an assembly line, running a non-woven manufacturing machine, when the employee's left hand became caught between two running spindles. The employee's left thumb was amputated, with the possibility of additional left-hand finger amputations. The machine was not powered down or locked out/tagged out at the time of the incident.
