Incident Narrative

An employee was putting rivets on the nose of a trailer while working from a platform. The work platform is approximately 36 inches wide, 6 feet long, 36 inches off the ground, with two steps to access. He was stepping down from the platform when he lost his balance and fell backwards, breaking his legs between the ankle and knee.
