Incident Narrative

Employees were performing new building construction. An angle iron slipped and became caught between other objects at a height of approximately 10 to 15 feet aboveground. An employee accessed a ladder to inspect what the angle iron was caught on and determine how it would be removed when the angle iron fell to the ground and struck the ladder, knocking the employee off. The employee fell approximately 8 feet to the ground and struck their head. The employee suffered wrist and skull fractures and required stitches.
