"LAWN SPRINKLER SYSTEM BEING INSTALLED AT PRIVATE RESIDENCE. LOCATE REQUESTS WERE RECEIVED, KNOWN LINES WERE MARKED. INSTALLER USING WALK-BEHIND TRENCH HIT AND CUT AN UNKNOWN SERVICE LINE AT APPROXIMATELY 11 INCHES OF DEPTH. INSTALLER EVACUATED PERSONNEL AND TRENCHER LATER IGNITED ESCAPING GAS, DESTROYING TRENCHER. NO OTHER PROPERTY DAMAGES, NO INJURIES. LINE WAS SQUEEZED OFF BY GAS COMPANY PERSONNEL AND LATER REPAIRED TO RESTORE SERVICE TO RESIDENCE."
