THE PUMP WAS RUNNING WHEN EMPCO OPERATIONAL CONTROL CENTER (OCC) RECEIVED AN ALARM INDICATING A SEAL FAILURE. THE PUMP WAS SHUT DOWN AND SUCTION AND DISCHARGE VALVES WERE CLOSED TO ISOLATE IT FROM THE PIPELINE. APPROXIMATELY 1 BARREL OF DILUTE PROPYLENE (RGP) WAS RELEASED.
