AT 14:10 ON 12/06/2011 UNIT #3685 (#1 MAINLINE) DES MOINES PUMP STATION REPORTED OUTBOARD SEAL LEAK. RESULTING IN A RELEASE OF APPROXIMATELY 10 GALLONS OF ISO- BUTANE. INVESTIGATION REVEALED INBOARD SEAL ALSO FAILED BUT NO RELEASE OCCURRED AT THAT LOCATION. BOTH SEALS WERE REPLACED. SAMPLES OF RELEASED PRODUCT WERE TAKEN TO LAB FOR ANALYSIS AND FOUND TO BE HEAVILY CONTAMINATED WITH BRINE WATER.
