Incident Narrative
ON AUGUST 22, 2016 AT 14:42, SDG&E WAS NOTIFIED OF A GAS LEAK AT 1703 BACON ST IN SAN DIEGO. CREWS RESPONDED AND CONTROLLED THE GAS BY SHUTTING OFF THE MAIN. FURTHER LEAK INVESTIGATION SHOWED THAT THE LEAK WAS LOCATED ON A 0.75 INCH STEEL SERVICE. THE CAUSE OF THE LEAK IS UNDETERMINED. NO INJURIES RESULTED FROM THIS INCIDENT. ALL REPAIRS TO THE DAMAGED SERVICE WERE COMPLETED AND THE AFFECTED CUSTOMERS WERE RESTORED. THIS INCIDENT WAS REPORTED TO CPUC AND DOT DUE TO A GAS RELEASE OF UNDETERMINED CAUSE AND DAMAGES THAT EXCEED $50,000. FOR ANY FURTHER QUESTIONS, CONTACT KHOA LE AT (626) 893-4536.
