"ON JULY 19, 2018, AT 11:45 NMGC CREWS WERE CALLED OUT TO A 3RD PARTY DAMAGE AT THE INTERSECTION OF LOS ALAMITOS HEIGHTS ROAD AND LOBO CANYON RD. A 4"" STEEL GAS MAIN WAS PUNCTURED BY BORE MACHINE STABILIZER. WHILE MAKING REPAIRS AN IGNITION OCCURRED UNDER BORE MACHINE THAT ENGULFED THE MACHINE AND WAS A TOTAL LOSS APPROXIMATE COST OF CONTRACTOR BORE MACHINE IS $280,299 AND $31,843.00 IN OPERATORS PROPERTY DAMAGE AND REPAIR COSTS. COST OF TOTAL LOSS OF BORE MACHINE CAUSED REPORTABLE INCIDENT. INVESTIGATION IS COMPLETE, HOWEVER, CAUSE OF IGNITION IS UNKNOWN."
