Incident Narrative
APPROXIMATELY 1 BBL OF CRUDE OIL WAS RELEASED FROM A TANK HEADER LINE, AS A RESULT OF LOW FLOW AND WATER ACCUMULATION, WHICH RESULTED IN INTERNAL CORROSION. THIS WAS NOT THE PRIMARY HEADER AND HAD BEEN IDLE FOR A WHILE. PLAINS HAS REPLACED THE HEADER AND IS INSPECTING FOR ANY SIMILAR LOW FLOW CONDITIONS, WITHIN THE TERMINAL, IN ORDER TO PREVENT THIS FROM OCCURRING AGAIN.
