Incident Narrative
ON JULY 2, 2016, A WINK STATION PIPELINE OPERATOR DISCOVERED A RELEASE OF CRUDE OIL AT THE TANK 8 SUCTION LINE. THE CRUDE OIL WAS CONTAINED WITHIN THE TANK BERM. THE STANDING OIL WAS REMOVED, AND PLACED BACK INTO ANOTHER TANK. AFFECTED SOIL IS BEING REMEDIATED BY INTERNAL LAND FARM ON-SITE. A B-SLEEVE WAS INSTALLED ON THE SECTION OF PIPE THAT LEAKED.
