"RUPTURED LINE REPORTED BY EMERGENCY RESPONDERS IN THE NORTHBOUND LANE OF S MILITARY HWY NEAR 764 S MILITARY HWY, VIRGINIA BEACH, VA. PRELIMINARY FINDINGS DETERMINED THAT THE RUPTURE OCCURRED DUE TO A LACK OF FUSION IN THE GIRTH WELD. THE PIPELINE IS AN 18-INCH STEEL MAIN WITH COAL TAR COATING THAT WAS INSTALLED IN 1958. ONCE THE METALLURGICAL TESTING REPORT IS RECEIVED A SUPPLEMENTAL REPORT MAY BE SUBMITTED, AS NECESSARY."
