"ON MARCH 6, 2025, AT APPROXIMATELY 14:15, RP CONSTRUCTION STRUCK A 4-INCH PLASTIC GAS MAIN USING A DIRECTIONAL DRILL AT THE INTERSECTION OF CENTREVILLE ROAD AND SKYHAWK DRIVE IN CHANTILLY, VA. WASHINGTON GAS WAS PROMPTLY NOTIFIED OF THE INCIDENT AT 14:17 VIA FIREBOARD. THE IMPACT RESULTED IN A PUNCTURED PLASTIC MAIN, CAUSING A GAS LEAK. WASHINGTON GAS PERSONNEL ARRIVED ON-SITE AT 15:13 AND SUCCESSFULLY STOPPED THE GAS FLOW AT 19:29 BY SQUEEZE, WHICH LED TO AN OUTAGE AFFECTING 28 CUSTOMERS. SERVICE WAS RESTORED TO ALL IMPACTED CUSTOMERS."
