Incident Narrative
AN MIPC EMPLOYEE PERFORMING ROUNDS OBSERVED A DRIP COMING FROM THE PRESSURE GAUGE ON THE DISCHARGE OF THE EASTLINE PUMP ON 12/18/24 AT 926 HOURS. PIPELINE IMMEDIATELY SHUTDOWN. THERE WAS MINOR PRODUCT STAINING ON THE GROUND IN THE STONES (< 3GALLONS) AND PRODUCT IN THE ADJACENT BURIED ELECTRICAL TRENCH BOX (<25 GALLONS). SOIL WAS PROPERLY COLLECTED AND DISPOSED. PRODUCT WAS VACUUMED OUT OF ELECTRICAL TRENCH BOX. PRESSURE GAUGE WAS REMOVED AND PLUGGED PRIOR TO RESTARTING PIPELINE.
