Incident Narrative

ON 10/30/2023 AT 7:15 AM CST, DURING STATION ROUNDS, ENTERPRISE OPERATOR LOCATED A CRUDE LEAK ON THE DRAIN LINE OF A PUMP STRAINER AT HOUSTON SHIP CHANNEL, MANIFOLD 400; 3 BARRELS OF CRUDE OIL SPILLED ON THE GROUND. THE LEAK WAS ISOLATED AND REMEDIATED. BASED ON VISUAL INSPECTION THE CAUSE HAS BEEN IDENTIFIED TO BE INTERNAL CORROSION. THE CORROSION WAS CUT OUT AND 2 INCH NOZZLE WAS REWELDED TO REPAIR THE STRAINER AND RETURN IT BACK INTO SERVICE.
