INDICATIONS OF BUBBLES ON THE SURFACE OF THE WATER IN WEST CAMERON BLOCK 272 WERE REPORTED BY A NEARBY PLATFORM OPERATOR AT 11:00 AM ON SEPTEMBER 16, 2010. UPON INVESTIGATION, IT WAS DETERMINED THE LEAK WAS CAUSED BY A PINHOLE RESULTING FROM INTERNAL CORROSION. A LEAK CLAMP WAS INSTALLED AS A PERMANENT REPAIR AT A COST OF $250,000.
