Incident Narrative
LARGE DEAD OAK TREE BROKE OFF AND FELL ACROSS THE OVERHEAD POWER LINES AND ON TO THE GAS METER SET. THIS BROKE THE PIPE NIPPLE AT THE GAS SERVICE RISER SHUT OFF DAMAGING IT. THE POWER LINE BEING CARRIED ONTO THE GAS SERVICE IGNITED THE ESCAPING GAS AND IGNITED THE STRUCTURE.
