GAS CONTROL RECEIVED A CALL FROM THE WC 544 PLATFORM AT APPROXIMATELY 1530, NOTIFYING THEM OF A LEAK APPROXIMATELY 2.5 MILES SE OF THE PLATFORM (IN THE WC 543 BLOCK). THIS BLOCK IS APPROXIMATELY 100 MILES FROM SHORE, IN ABOUT 200 FEET OF WATER. A HELICOPTER OVERFLIGHT CONFIRMED A BUBBLE 30 DIAMETER AND A SHEEN (LIGHT RAINBOW COLOR) OF 2 MILES LONG BY 500 FT WIDE. THE CALCULATED SPILLED VOLUME IS AROUND 1.3 BARRELS.
