"A 3RD PARTY CONTRACTOR BORED INTO A HIGH PRESSURE 8"" STEEL DISTRIBUTION LINE WHILE INSTALLING TELECOMMUNICATION LINES. DAMAGE RESULTED IN 1 COMMERCIAL OUTAGE. EXCAVATION WAS PERFORMED ON A EXPIRED LOCATE TICKET. THE CONTRACTOR WAS AWARE THAT THEY WERE WORKING NEAR HIGH PRESSURE LINE. BETWEEN 07/27-08/05/2021 PIEDMONT WAS ON SITE WHILE THE CONTRACTOR WORKED NEAR THE GAS LINE. THE CONTRACTOR WAS ADVISED TO CONTACT PIEDMONT FOR ADDITIONAL STANDBYS WHEN NEEDED."
