"10/09/2023 (14:30) OPS TECH LEAD WAS NOTIFIED BY DIG CREW AT ANOMALY DIG #26160 AT MP 24.75 ON TRYON LATERAL THAT THEY HAD EXCAVATED, SAND BLASTED THE PIPE, AND WERE NOW SMELLING GAS, BUT HAD NOT PREVIOUSLY HAD ANY INDICATION ON GAS DETECTORS. THEY BEGAN CHECKING THE ATMOSPHERE THROUGHOUT DITCH WITH GAS DETECTORS AND GOT A READING. THE CREW STOOD DOWN AND WAITED FOR THE OPS TECH LEAD TO ARRIVE. PRESSURE ON LINE AT TIME AND LOCATION: 293 PSI. (15:32) OPS TECH LEAD CONFIRMED THAT A LEAK WAS PRESENT ON THE PIPELINE. (15:45) A REVIEW OF THE LEAKS AND INFORMATION WAS CONDUCTED AND IT WAS DECIDED TO INFORM THE HOMEOWNERS OF THE SITUATION SO THAT THEY COULD BE RELOCATED UNTIL A REPAIR CLAMP WAS INSTALLED. (17:27) OPS TECH NOTIFIED TWO LANDOWNERS AND THEY AGREED TO EVACUATE BY 8PM. (10:10) TWO CLAMPS WERE INSTALLED AND TORQUED ON THE LEAK (10:15) BOTH CLAMPS LEAK CHECKED AND CONFIRMED NO LEAKS PRESENT. (10:34) LANDOWNERS WERE NOTIFIED THAT THEY COULD RETURN TO THEIR HOMES THE CRACK IS CURRENTLY PLANNED TO BE CUT OUT NEXT YEAR IN JUNE AND REPLACED WITH A NEW SEGMENT OF PIPE."
